I Am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban by Malala Yousafzai

I think it's obvious why I think Malala is a hero. She had the courage to stand up against the Taliban to promote literacy and women's rights and she nearly died while doing it. There's nothing more heroic than that.
