Sending out a note.........I don't know if it was posted elsewhere, or not.Our Chris T lost her Mother , quite suddenly, last night. She had been ill and this was not totally unexpected. Chris and her friends are blessed to know she died quickly...........
Please keep Chris in your thoughts. (And prayers)
Thinking of you Christine xx
So sad to hear Tom Magliozzi, one half of the wisecracking Car Talk duo known as "Click and Clack the Tappet Brothers," has died after complications from Alzheimer's Disease. He was 77.http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2...
He and his brother have given me many a laugh, while teaching me something. I will miss him.
Thanks everybody for all the wonderfully kind notes. I am kind of overwhelmed to see all these--they mean a lot. I'll be back....
So sorry to hear of your loss Christine. our love and thoughts are with you at this sad time. xoxoxoxo
Christine: SO sorry; I know this feeling! My thoughts and prayers are with you. Message me if you need to share. I lost my momma in 2007. xoxoxo
Elaine, Sandy, Diane, Perri and Skye, thanks so much for thinking of me. The memorial is in the morning. Set to sleet, rain and snow, of course. My brother, sister-in-law, niece and great nice arrived from Tennessee by car tonight. So glad they missed the weather!
Christine,I am so sorry about the death of your mom. I didn't know...but I saw you haven't been reading too much lately. The loss of a parent, is the worst thing you go through. I lost my dad in 2001 at 71, and my mom 3 years ago the end of Nov. Your whole body is on shutdown, and you find yourself just going through the motions. E-mail be whenever you want. I will always be there for you. Be strong tomorrow, Christine, and may she rest in peace. Love Sue OXOX

I am thinking of you and sending you a really big hug, condolences, and prayers.
Sue, Sue, Sister Dawn, Sean, Skye and Pat, thank you so much for your kind notes. Long week. We had Mom's memorial yesterday, and that went really well. Unfortunately, my dad went into atrial fibrillation early this AM after not eating or drinking well this past week with all the stress he has been under. I am here in the hospital with him. They were able to convert his fibrillation to normal rhythm and he is starting to feel better (couldn't even stand this morning). He is currently charming all the nurses, lol. Many thanks to you guys who PM'ed me. I plan to answer all of you. Your notes and concern have been very uplifting to me. I am so blessed to have all you guys in my life!

So sorry to hear about your dad in the hospital now. It has been one stressful week for you and your family.
God never gives you a heavy cross to carry, than you can handle. We will pray for you to have the strength to carry on, and we will pray for your Dad too.
God bless you.

Chris, I am praying that your dad continues to improve and please don't forget to take care of yourself. Hugs and Kisses,
Sister Dawn
I'm so sorry all this is happening all at once for you. I hope your Dad is out of the hospital soon. Take care of yourself. Prayers and hugs coming your way!
Skye wrote: "Christine, something is wrong with your dad? My heart is hurting for you!"Hi Skye, I'm sitting here with him in the hospital. I had to call 911 for him yesterday AM when my brother who was staying with him for the funeral called and said he was profoundly weak. When I got there I felt his pulse and knew he had atrial fibrillation, probably brought on by the stress of the week on top of his general depression and his lack of eating/ drinking enough. Too much stress on the heart. The docs gave him a liter of IV fluids and got his fibrillation converted. My Dad is 95, but in pretty good shape otherwise, so this is a good save. He passed his echocardiogram. He looks a zillion times better and just needs to do well on a walk with his walker down the hall and he gets to go home. I am starting to feel better!
Oh, Christine, you have been through so much; Yes, stress is usually the culprit. I am so happy he is doing better, now. I will pray that things continue to improve and that you get a bit of a respite.I am here if you need me.

Skye~
Oh Christine, so much for you to contend with all at once! Big hugs. Please remember to take care of yourself. xoxoxoSandy
Thank you guys so much. I feel like reading again, so that is good. Dad continues to do well, so things are improving. Glad to be back.
I am doing okay. The temp has dropped in Toronto today, and my low back (herniated discs)is bothering me. Plan to write my review tonight for the book I just finished on dreams. Did a lot of cooking today for a change. I made a egg & potato Spanish dish, earlier and homemade apple, cinn and honey muffins. The kitchen is closed now.
I'm feeling peckish too, though I shouldn't be at 11 O'clock at night!! Craving chocolate though, that's sooo naughty!
Sue wrote: "Sorry Marian...but the counter is full of cooked food! Come and enjoy!"The next time Sue,Im just going to have to get there much earlier:)
