Lenora...congratulations. When you look at the comment box there is the add book/author selection just above the box...click on that and type in your book name and it will give you selections. I didn't know how to do that for a long time and someone gave me the directions. Again...congratulations for the mile marker. JWG

I just finished reading a delightful short story by Amy:
Five Valentines by Alex 9903 http://meryton.com/aha/index.php?show... Unpublished as of yet.

It is a modern story of five valentine days each one year after the other during which Darcy and Elizabeth "bump" into each other and at first don't even exchange names. Written this past (2016) Valentines Day.

Have you read all of Amy's? Most of hers were 5 stars for me. How about A Willful Misunderstanding? Give your tissues ready! A glass of wine and some dark chocolate would not be amiss.

Haven't read them all yet, but I did read A Willful Misunderstanding. Gave that one 4 stars. I thought it was excellent but that it got redundant and needed editing because it's just way too long. After so many passages describing all the anguish everyone was experiencing, I sort of got immune to it.

No, I know you are not dozing. I don't usually post until I have maybe 10 or so to post. I love Pirates and Prejudice, which was titled Pemberley's Promise when I read it. My favorite scene is when Elizabeth walks into Netherfield not knowing that Darcy is there!!! and then Jane telling everyone how Elizabeth loves a man she met 2 years ago and whose name she doesn't know so they call him Mr. Right/Wright. So ironic and Darcy smiles.

Darcy's Voyage a.k.a. Pemberley's Promise by Kara Louise...yeah it was good. I read it years ago as Darcy's Voyage and that scene about Mr. Wright was swoon worthy. I hate it when they change the book title like that. I was new to the JAFF books and couldn't imaging a book spin-off from P&P. I loved that book. It was a great read. I may have to read it again. That tiny cabin...yeah it was cute.

I have been out of town most of the day and look at the trouble y'all have gotten yourselves into. Y'all been in grandma's special tonic again?
My grandfather ran [grew up] in the hills and hollers of KY and TN and knew all about making special brews. He had heard his grandfather tell tales of revenuers [gov men looking for stills] going up the hill and, unlike Jack and Jill, didn't come back down.

Mary...you're right, bring your own tea. LOL!!! I love this group.

Yeah, that is the stuff, also known as moonshine or simply shine. There are other names, but I would have to ask my students. Most were farm/country boys and they could tell me all about it.
