Lenora...congratulations. When you look at the comment box there is the add book/author selection just above the box...click on that and type in your book name and it will give you selections. I didn't know how to do that for a long time and someone gave me the directions. Again...congratulations for the mile marker. JWG
Lenora-way to go!!!! Another comfy armchair is no doubt being prepared, the rest of the furniture being shuffled around to room for you in the great man's library. Make yourself at home and enjoy every minute !!! Congrats!!
Congratulations, Lenora....well done. Come on in and join what is becoming a giddy group. Must be all the champagne as we toast each other and now you. 325 - last year? Did you find time to eat? LOL Fantastic...you put me to shame.
I just finished reading a delightful short story by Amy:Five Valentines by Alex 9903 http://meryton.com/aha/index.php?show... Unpublished as of yet.
It is a modern story of five valentine days each one year after the other during which Darcy and Elizabeth "bump" into each other and at first don't even exchange names. Written this past (2016) Valentines Day.
I made it to 150! I'm ready for a 5-star book now, though, please!148. To Make Sport for our Neighbours: The Commonplace Book of Mr. Bennet, of Longbourn, in Hertfordshire. - 3 stars
149. Expectations of Happiness: A Companion Volume to Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility - 3.5 / 4 stars
150. Infernal Desire: By No Means Improper - 2 stars

Just read it! Another excellent story by Amy.
Sheila wrote: "OK, I am working on the one review now. Thank you for your reassurances. I get nervous about offending an author."It's been a while so I can't really review it, but I know I loved London Outskirts. Curious to read your take.
Debbie, First of all let me say, "Congratulations!" Throwing confetti and popping the cork on our bottle!Have you read all of Amy's? Most of hers were 5 stars for me. How about A Willful Misunderstanding? Give your tissues ready! A glass of wine and some dark chocolate would not be amiss.
Haven't read them all yet, but I did read A Willful Misunderstanding. Gave that one 4 stars. I thought it was excellent but that it got redundant and needed editing because it's just way too long. After so many passages describing all the anguish everyone was experiencing, I sort of got immune to it.
Debbie-forgive me if you've already read these, but you mentioned that you're looking for a 5* read, which is what I have these stories,so I thought I'd mention them here....The Great Game and Ebb & Flow, both by Ayden
Kidnapped by Babsy 1221
J.W. Garrett’s Austenesque Lovers TBR Pile Reading Challenge 2016 YTD Tracker [continued]106) Side by Side, Apart 4-stars
107) Pirates and Prejudice 5-stars
108) It Started with a Kiss: A Pride and Prejudice Variation 4-stars
109) The Subsequent Proposal: A Tale of Pride, Prejudice & Persuasion 4.5- stars
110) London Outskirts 4-stars
111) Sisters Bewitched: Pride and Prejudice and Witches 3-stars
112) The Secrets of Netherfield Abbey: Pride and Prejudice and Witches3-stars
I haven't updated in a while so thought I'd better catch up. Don't want you to think I'm dozing in that armchair over in the corner.
No, I know you are not dozing. I don't usually post until I have maybe 10 or so to post. I love Pirates and Prejudice, which was titled Pemberley's Promise when I read it. My favorite scene is when Elizabeth walks into Netherfield not knowing that Darcy is there!!! and then Jane telling everyone how Elizabeth loves a man she met 2 years ago and whose name she doesn't know so they call him Mr. Right/Wright. So ironic and Darcy smiles.
112 books read,Jeanne? Way to go!! You're certainly not even indulging in a cat nap,now you're in Mr B's comfy armchair!!!! Well done!

My favorit..."Darcy's Voyage a.k.a. Pemberley's Promise by Kara Louise...yeah it was good. I read it years ago as Darcy's Voyage and that scene about Mr. Wright was swoon worthy. I hate it when they change the book title like that. I was new to the JAFF books and couldn't imaging a book spin-off from P&P. I loved that book. It was a great read. I may have to read it again. That tiny cabin...yeah it was cute.

Thank you, Mary. I've read both, and you and Sheila are right - they're definitely 5-star books.

Excellent list, Jeanne! Lots of good books there! And do you really think one of us in here would spike your tea?!? ; )
A shot of whiskey in my tea would set me up just right....I might no be coherent but I would certainly be floating.
Or as 3 Dog Night sang: Want some whiskey in your water?
Sugar in your tea?
What's all these crazy questions they're askin' me?
This is the craziest party that could ever be
Debbie wrote ' and do you really think one of us would spike your tea..?'............I know I don't know ye very well, but honestly,I wouldn't put anything past ye!!!! And spiking the tea would probably be very mild in comparison to all the other things ye've either done,or plan to do!!!!! Just think I'll have to bring my own tea if I ever get a chance to darken the door of Mr B's library!!!!!
I have been out of town most of the day and look at the trouble y'all have gotten yourselves into. Y'all been in grandma's special tonic again? My grandfather ran [grew up] in the hills and hollers of KY and TN and knew all about making special brews. He had heard his grandfather tell tales of revenuers [gov men looking for stills] going up the hill and, unlike Jack and Jill, didn't come back down.
Mary...you're right, bring your own tea. LOL!!! I love this group.
Roaring out loud...yes, we all have heard rumors about the back hills in KY and TN. BTW: J.W., Covington Co., TN is named after my mother's family.White lightning - isn't that the name?
Yeah, that is the stuff, also known as moonshine or simply shine. There are other names, but I would have to ask my students. Most were farm/country boys and they could tell me all about it.
Jeanne-I think its only fair to say that you started this!!!! You did mention the tea,did you not??!!!!As for the revenues who didn't return, can easily believe that they might have gotten 'lost' among the hills......little wonder if an accident befell them....!!!
Hope you'd a lovely time in town!
OK... guys... no more comments about tea. That is what my grandfather said... clumsy bunch, those government men.
I did have a good lunch...early birthday with friends.
Happy Early Birthday, Jeanne! How well would birthday cake go with white lightening? Oooooh! Let's find out!!!!
Debbie-you're hilarious!!!! Please let us know how that goes......that is if you can remember all the gory details!!!! Jeanne is going to wish she hadn't mentioned anything about her birthday!!!
And thank you also. We don't publicize our birthdays here but I wish we did. I would want to make sure no one was missed a greeting on that day, each year.
Happy belated birthday Sheila. Happy belated birthday to all of you that had a past birthday. And early birthday to those who have yet to have their birthday.
So we shall have a cyber party: Cake, sparklers, confetti, and bring your own tea. Woohoo!!!!
Jeanne,Debbie- I think ye've been sampling the 'tea' a little too much....I can hear the singsong from hear....neighbours are beginning to complain......the clock's just chimed 4am.....bed beckons.....!!!!!!!!!
That is why we love you Mary... wait, did you say 4 am? Now where have you been at this hour young lady? I am a bit older than you and I feel responsible. The fumes from our tea must have made it across cyber space. To bed with you!!!!
