Actually the main novels I haven't read. I've only read a couple of stories one I didn't finish and another being the Adventure of the Dying Detective, but I've seen so much of the Sherlock Holmes shows and movies that I'd like to read the source material. My mom actually is reading The Hound of the Baskervilles for her reading challenge. (She ADORES Sherlock)

Big time, there's so many to choose from there's a Sherlock for every taste.

I have seen BBC Sherlock, that version is one of my favorites. I actually have season 3 on DVD (my favorite season at that) but one of my favorite Sherlocks is actually Sherdog from the manga Sherlock Bones, I'm just missing volume 7 out of the entire series (I hope it gets picked up as an anime one day that'd be nice)

I've seen the RDJ Downey movies that's actually what got me into Sherlock Holmes (my mom has always been a huge fan but I resisted until recent years. XD;) And I started looking for anything else related because I couldn't get enough. I've even seen the cheesy 22nd century cartoon. (And man was it cheesy)

message 167: by Storm (new)

Storm Arashi (stormarashi) | 1130 comments XD Just how I work.

Yeah, I wasn't big into mysteries as a kid, so when my mom would try to get me into it, I would just roll my eyes and move on. Ironically one of my favorite animes Detective Conan/CaseClosed, the main character is a Holmes fanatic so there was a movie that took place in London even going to Baker Street. Got me curious and well... After the RDJ movies, I finally just gave in and gave it a real try... And now I really love it.

The wedding episode was my favorite! Loved Sherlock's best man speech!

Rose (The_Calm_Reader) (roselittlebookowl75) | 1372 comments Harlee wrote: "@Rose I want to start doing a TBR jar to pick books!"

@Harlee I had to make a TBR jar as I had 25+ unread books on my bookshelf and 35-40 on my Kindle that I had unread. What I did was make a TBR jar with all the books on my shelf and on my Kindle and I can only draw from those. I put in 3-4 bonus books in my TBR jar I don't own and IF I draw one of these I can buy a book, if not no. The only way I can buy books now is if I receive a gift card. I had to do this as I was just buying all the time and and not getting enough read. Its working out great so far!
