Robin,
I have just had a collegue that I work with just leave after five years to live in Australia, he has met a woman now girlfriend and next year a wife.
He came from Liverpool.
I live in Jersey, but I lot of my cousins, uncle and aunties live around/between Liverpool and Manchester, just outside Warrington.

I've never been to Jersey. I've heard from a friend who has an uncle living there that you guys are very chilled and laid back. Apparently you just leave your doors unlocked through the day. I think I'd like to visit sometime. Actually I was just in Warrington a week ago. I was there for a college thing. not sure if you know where this is, But I had to go to Priestly college.
No quite that safe.
We lock our doors and windows.
A little crime but nothing serious.
Beautiful beaches, and walks
Much slower pace than the big cities.

Didn't you guys have an election a couple of days ago?
Yes, although I do not follow politics.
Lots of young faces, try to become senators, deputies and connestables just to make the money.
Deputies earn, 38,000-42,00(some deputies are 21 years old)
One lady/doctor was voted in St Helier, works full time as a doctor, has become a senator earning 78,000 a year, but still will work full time as a doctor ?

Three minor radio DJ's have been voted in as Senators, as won 250 votes needed to get in as a Senator, but have no knowledge of politics.
Just want to stay in the public eye.
Enough politics.

Yeah your right, no more politics.

Agreed. It's surprising how many people from all over the world I come across whilst looking through GR.

As someone who started writing in 2012... Plan your dream, execute your plan and see where you get to :).

Born and raised, and still living in Atlanta, Georgia...the Peach state! :)

Awesome!!! I was born and raised in Gadsden, AL, worked in Montgomery (lived in Prattville {it has REALLY grown}), and now live in Auburn, AL.

Hi, C! I lived in Tucson in the mid-1970’s because my then-husband was stationed at Davis-Monthan. I wouldn't mind going back there to live, either!

Hey Chuck,
I am a fellow Californian! Born in SF and raised all over So. Cali.
I lived in Oxnard in the 60's, but understand it has really changed.
I love visiting Cali, but don't think I could live there again.
Lovely place to see, tho.
Party on, Dude!!!
Now a Californian, previously a Swede. :)

I am also considering the Kerrville,Texas area, because it doesn't get quite so hot as Tucson,
is in the beautiful"Hill Country" of Texas and is about an hour from San Antonio, with all those amenities.[Also,TX has no income tax!]

Sure,also considering Fredericksburg,and San Angelo,Texas.
Actually,Texas will probably win out over Tucson.

Sorry,no,don't do zip codes.I think AJ is too close to Phoenix and too open and exposed to those dust storms for me.

I've been there several times, attending rug hooking camps. The antique stores in F'burg are some of the best I have ever shopped at.
Lisa - still hoping my hubs and I can make the move back to KC. We are looking to buy a house in either the Parkville or Liberty area. We both miss living in the midwest.........and miss Manny's! Now there is a reason to move back, huh?
I could give you a list a mile long about what we miss in KC. Nothing like those midwest people!!!!

I am in Delaware Skye. I will have 30 years of employement with the State of DE the end of December and am planning to retire. I am open to moving anywhere in or out of the US. I have just had enough of DE and am with retirement am looking for a new adventure.

LOL, Lynn! Now why have I never thought to phrase my first husband like that!!
Lynn wrote: "I was raised in the country so it is nice to go out into the forest, my getaway from civilization."
My sentiments exactly. I love being in the woods. It's a very spiritual, healing place.
