Robin,

I have just had a collegue that I work with just leave after five years to live in Australia, he has met a woman now girlfriend and next year a wife.

I've never been to Jersey. I've heard from a friend who has an uncle living there that you guys are very chilled and laid back. Apparently you just leave your doors unlocked through the day. I think I'd like to visit sometime. Actually I was just in Warrington a week ago. I was there for a college thing. not sure if you know where this is, But I had to go to Priestly college.

No quite that safe.

We lock our doors and windows.

A little crime but nothing serious.

Beautiful beaches, and walks

Much slower pace than the big cities.

Didn't you guys have an election a couple of days ago?

Yes, although I do not follow politics.

Lots of young faces, try to become senators, deputies and connestables just to make the money.

Deputies earn, 38,000-42,00(some deputies are 21 years old)

One lady/doctor was voted in St Helier, works full time as a doctor, has become a senator earning 78,000 a year, but still will work full time as a doctor ?

Three minor radio DJ's have been voted in as Senators, as won 250 votes needed to get in as a Senator, but have no knowledge of politics.

Just want to stay in the public eye.

Enough politics.

Hi, C! I lived in Tucson in the mid-1970’s because my then-husband was stationed at Davis-Monthan. I wouldn't mind going back there to live, either!

I am also considering the Kerrville,Texas area, because it doesn't get quite so hot as Tucson,
is in the beautiful"Hill Country" of Texas and is about an hour from San Antonio, with all those amenities.[Also,TX has no income tax!]

Sure,also considering Fredericksburg,and San Angelo,Texas.
Actually,Texas will probably win out over Tucson.

Sorry,no,don't do zip codes.I think AJ is too close to Phoenix and too open and exposed to those dust storms for me.

message 343: by Ter'e (new)

Ter'e Crow Lindsay (terecrow) | 798 comments C - I love Kerrville and Fredericksburg! Both awesome towns. GREAT shopping and great Mexican food.
I've been there several times, attending rug hooking camps. The antique stores in F'burg are some of the best I have ever shopped at.

Lisa - still hoping my hubs and I can make the move back to KC. We are looking to buy a house in either the Parkville or Liberty area. We both miss living in the midwest.........and miss Manny's! Now there is a reason to move back, huh?

I could give you a list a mile long about what we miss in KC. Nothing like those midwest people!!!!

message 346: by Lynn Renee (new)

Lynn Renee | 1708 comments I was born in Shreveport, Louisiana and lived there for the first year of my life while my Dad was stationed there in the Air Force. Moved around thru Washington, Michigan, and D.C. until it was time for Kindergarten; we actually moved to Pennsylvania during President Kennedy's funeral. Raised outside Pittsburgh Pennsylvania then to Waynesburg Pennsylvania after I was married. Kicked his rear to the curb and moved back by my family who had moved back to their hometown of Greenville Pennsylvania where I lived for over 20 years raising my two children. After they flew the coop, I moved to Erie Pennsylvania where I have been for 15 years. I live with Otto, my German Shepherd Dog, who is also my service dog. Love Lake Erie and the bay, but as the years go by my bones don't care for the cold, snow, and windy winters. I spend my summers primitive camping in the Southern Tier of New York. That means as soon as the snow melts in the spring until it starts falling again in the fall. I was raised in the country so it is nice to go out into the forest, my getaway from civilization.

Brenda | 2434 comments Lynn wrote: "Kicked his rear to the curb"

LOL, Lynn! Now why have I never thought to phrase my first husband like that!!

Lynn wrote: "I was raised in the country so it is nice to go out into the forest, my getaway from civilization."

My sentiments exactly. I love being in the woods. It's a very spiritual, healing place.
