Welcome to all new members, and I hope you will pop over to the introduction page and say hello.
Lots of welcomes there, regards

Mark, you're a stretch, but my parents were born and raised in Kansas (where I got some of the setting in Part I of Survivors of the Chaos). I was born in California, did a long sojourn in Colombia, South America, and returned to the U.S., but East not West, first in the Boston area and now NJ. I guess I can't say I've stayed in one place long enough, but NJ it is now, at least for the time being.
Welcome...and I'm happy to make your acquaintances.

Thank you Mark! Looking forward to some more lively discussions!

Because I now live in NJ now, we really are neighbors. I won't ask you where you live, but the Garden State is just one big happy place, right? (Alas, the produce from those bountiful gardens will soon be gone.)

Steve, I live in central New Jersey. Big happy place? Taxes through the roof. Sure, that makes me happy, NOT, but it is home and the only place I've ever known.

I hear you. I thought Taxachusetts was bad until I moved here. NJ income tax isn't so bad, but property and sales taxes are onerous, worse than MA, not to mention all this hidden fees...sigh....
r/Steve

MA has always been known for high taxes, hence Taxachusetts. But we had a shock when we moved to NJ. I guess the whole Northeast is high. NH, for example, doesn't have a state income tax, so they really sock it to you in the property and sales taxes. People still move across the border there from MA because real estate is more reasonable (and for the state-run liquor stores?).

We're all in the same boat I guess!

Guess we're all in the same boat Agnieszka! Good company!!

I usually just use it: Life is just as certains as death and taxes. lol

Welcome Sonya and I'm just to lazy to google :-) what ct stands for Connecticut?
Looks like you are using the lovely GR-App ;-) It's such a pain in the neck.

Ontario, Canada
It's not cold here yet but as they say in Game of Thrones "Winter is Coming!"❄️

I've met some great folks here so far!
