I'm from Mequon, Wisconsin on the shores of beautiful Lake Michigan. Wisconsin is a beautiful state with lots of forested areas and loads of inland lakes.

I am from Long Island, New York in America. I live on the part of New York that sticks out into the Atlantic Ocean. I am between NYC and The Hamptons which are probably the most well known reference points.

I've just joined and did a brief hello in the intro. I'm from Sydney, about 40 minutes from the city. Would like to live closer to the beach, so the beach unfortunately is just for holiday time for me :))

Weather's usually better in london, unless someone from the snp is in town- in which case the sky goes all dark with the possibility of thunderstorms.

Thank goodness that darned auto show will be over this weekend. It drives me crazy. My work takes me into Detroit several times a week. I'm a lawyer and bankruptcy court sits a block from where they hold that monster show every year at Cobo Hall. Parking costs skyrocket if you can find a place to park at all.
To answer the main question. I was born in Buffalo, NY and at age 4 we moved to metro Detroit and I have lived in SE Michigan ever since, except for my 4 years in college in the middle of Michigan and 3 years in law school spent in NW Indiana not far from Orville Redenbacher's popcorn fields.

I'm from a small town on the U.S, Canadian border, Lampman Saskatchewan. It's a prairie village. The endless wheat and big sky, the fragrance of wild flowers floating in a breeze are still with me. The ten thousand foot thunderheads and rolling fields in every direction to the horizon; the 'chirps' of gophers and the songs of meadowlarks perched on barbed wire, became the foundation for me as a writer. If so, that town is called Harper's Ferry, WV and it has a lot of history behind and a couple hours drive from the Nation's Capital.
