J.B. Lion | 1 comments Greetings fellow humans or humanoids,

Some Guy here :)

I am an aspiring paranormal fantasy writer currently seeking an honest review for my YA graphic fiction book series “The Wall”. I have been a creative writer my entire life and my wife (who is also a published author) convinced me to pool my ideas into a book series.

THE WALL series is a fast-paced paranormal fantasy thrill ride that is meant to challenge the readers social, political, and spiritual beliefs. The tale explores love, hate, prejudice, suffering, elitism, sacrifice and redemption in a refreshing and entertaining way.

The story’s main plot revolves around the newly elected POTUS announcement to construct the largest border wall ever built. Chaos ensues as social, racial, political, and religious groups take opposing sides and man’s true conflicting nature is exposed.

The reader will be able to experience the conflict from different sides as the story will be told from four (4) different perspectives. Volume One focuses on Joey Gunns and his elite group of mercenaries (loving named the Wrecking Crew) sworn to protect the President at the wall’s unveiling ceremony. The decision to “serve and protect” will test their barriers of their moral conscience and ultimately their loyalties to the brotherhood they had fought so hard to forge over the last 15 years.

Check out the video trailer for the book series here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Bs1h...

I am willing to provide a free e-book or paperback copies in exchange for an honest review.

The link to my book and my author profile is here:

Hit me up if you are interested or have a book that you would like me to review.

Andrea Franco-Cook (scribbler50) | 2 comments Hello everyone,
I've been on Goodreads since late May when I published my first novel, PAWN OF THE GODS. The following is the synopsis to my story. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Can a 30-year old English professor with a haunted past be the hero that humanity needs? Only if she can figure out the secret behind a 16th century artifact.

The mystery unfolds deep in the Yucatan in 1572, when a Mayan high priest predicts an impending war between the gods of the underworld and the mortal realm. Seeking to prevent man's destruction, a winged deity passes a mystical weapon to a Spanish Conquistador for safe keeping.

Four-hundred-and-fifty years later, the winged god reveals himself to Soledad Mendoza, detailing her link to the conquistador and her role in the upcoming war. The problem is she's out of shape, a lonely widow at thirty, and her nightly predilection for scotch makes her more likely to join a twelve-step program, than become a hero.

When a politician and longtime friend proves to have ties to the conquistador's past and the weapon, Soledad must force herself into action and unravel the mystery before her.

Is she just a pawn for a deity with a secret agenda, or will she fulfill her extraordinary destiny? If Soledad doesn't figure out the answer soon, the fate of humanity may suffer.

PAWN OF THE GODS is for dark fiction fans who enjoy reading about history, destiny, and a battle between good and evil.

I am engaged in an energetic battle with the weeds in my garden. I'm writing a haiku every day this year, and I highly recommend it. When I'm not reading or writing or watching films, I spend time with my family and my dog. I've self-published two novels. My latest is "Face Recognition," a thought-provoking thriller for fans of Baldacci, Patterson and Koontz.

My latest book is - MAKE THE BEST OF YOUR LIFE: LETTERS TO BAHUJAN YOUTH (Note: "Bahujan" = majority of India's population, as distinct from the minority which has cornered the benefits of the country since time immemorial).

My next book (submitted to the publisher but not yet sent by them to the printer!) is WHERE DID WE GO WRONG: REFLECTIONS ON 200 YEARS OF MODERN EDUCATION IN INDIA 1813-2013. Alexandria Jane Hi y'all! I read a lot (and I mean a lot) of Regency romance novels and have for a while now. However, I just recently started a blog where I've been reviewing them :)
The impetus for the blog was both that I want to share my passion with the world, but also because my mom is threatening to cut me off her Amazon account (apparently now that I'm in college I should be buying my own books :/ ) . Which means that I would love to get enough traction on my blog to someday be able to receive ARC's :)

Laurence Houlgate | 9 comments Hello. I write books for beginning philosophy students. The first three books (on Plato, John Locke and John Stuart Mill) are bundled on Amazon under the heading "The Smart Student's Guides to Philosophical Classics".
I taught philosophy for 51 years and always distributed my lecture notes to my students. It occurred to me after retirement that I could continue helping college students by self-publishing. Instead of lecture notes I have developed a narrative style that seems to work (if the reviews are to be believed).
I would love to hear from any philosophy fans, potential reviewers and those in the genre who would like me to write a review.

Larry Loftis Code Name Lise The True Story of the Spy Who Became WWII's Most Highly Decorated Woman by Larry Loftis

Hi everyone!

I write nonfiction thrillers about WWII espionage. My first book, INTO THE LION'S MOUTH, was about the spy who inspired Ian Fleming's James Bond.

My second book, CODE NAME: LISE (Gallery/Simon & Schuster, Jan. 15, 2019), is about Odette Sansom, the most decorated spy of WWII, and the most highly decorated woman of the war. It's a story much like UNBROKEN, only Louis Zamperini is a woman, and CATCH ME IF YOU CAN, only the chasing FBI agent (Tom Hanks in the movie) is Germany's top spy-catcher.

And since Odette and her commanding officer fall for each other, there's a love story here as well. And all true!

It's available for pre-order now on Amazon. For details, see my website: www.LarryLoftis.com. I'm on Twitter and Facebook as well.

For bloggers and reviewers, if you'd like an ARC, please ping me as my publicist will soon be sending those out.

Cheers,
Larry
