Sean chuckled quietly, then sighed. He felt for Shadow and found her hand. "So... I guess we just wait now, hm? That sucks."

((Not here for long. Going to be watching a movie soon.))

"We can't just let them do it Sean," she mumbled. "I can't stand not knowing when...- this isn't the punishment..I mean if I know Jack..."Shadow grimaced.
Sean nodded. "I don't know what to do, though! I'm sorry I got you into this... I mean, maybe it wouldn't be so bad if you'd just thrown things around instead of me kissing you. Not that I regret it, but... yeah."
Sean sat down and leaned against the wall. He sighed, then concentrated on trying to hear someone's thoughts. Anyone's. He felt a dark... nothing, when he tried, like
his power was being sucked away into a black hole.
He winced, and pushed at it, fighting against it. He felt some relief, like he was fighting to swim against a current in an ocean, and it was trying to push him down as he tried to swim up. Finally his head touched the surface for an instant, and he could hear one thought: I'm weakening... but he is, too. I have to keep up.
Then he was pushed under again. He gasped, feeling as if his brain was being pushed at from all sides.

Sean shut his eyes tight and didn't stop fighting. He pushed against the current, and felt it weaken. He pushed as hard as he could and felt the current stop altogether for a second, and he heard, No!, and then the current came back, harder than ever, and he was swept under.
He cursed and shook his head. "I can't fight it anymore."
((Gotta go now. Bye!))

Shadow didn't hear him, concentrating hard. She pushed, sending thoughts to the person trying to steal their power. Not this time! His replying thought was angry, but he didn't fully stop the barrage of random memories of hers and others that she forced at him.
((Back! Only for a bit, though, and then I have to go to bed. :())
Sean began to be able to listen, and he understood and tried to help. He pushed, too, and could feel it becoming easier. He could hear the person's thoughts a bit better now, and it sounded like the person was slipping away, losing strength. Finally, the person blacked out.
Jack had been watching, and he cursed. "No! Stupid girl!"
Jack had been watching, and he cursed. "No! Stupid girl!"
((It's 7:43. I have to be off the internet when my parents go to bed. I can stay up, but no internet after they go to sleep.))

((Eight. Or whenever they shut the internet off. They have to go to work at six and they meditate for half an hour in the mornings, so they get up really early.))
Sean bit his lip, thinking. "I felt something. That person... seems familiar. Whoever it is... I used to know them."
Jack sighed. "Yes, well, I told you that the power hasn't been well developed yet. The girl is still young. She'll get better."
((Mwahahaha! So I've decided this is what they did with Sean's sister. She wouldn't even remember him, so she doesn't know she's related to him, and she doesn't want to do what they say but it's the only way they'll let her see her parents, so she does it.))

"Really? Any idea who?" Shadow asked carefully.
((omj, that's sad))
Gwen nodded. "But will she ever be strong enough to keep our daughter's powers at bay? She's stronger than everyone here."
(('S okay. Yeah... sad. In my story, Sean's dad works with the government who is after him, but you already did that, so... XD))
"My sister. Fiona. I think... I hope not." Sean closed his eyes, tears welling in them.
Jack shook his head. "I don't know. We'll see."

Jack shook his head. "I don't know. We'll see."

"Oh." Shadow said, blocking her mind so he couldn't read her thoughts. She knew it was Fiona.
Gwen pursed her lips and left.
((She's locked up in the story. Fiona is. She's sweet.))
Sean sighed and leaned back against the wall. "What are they going to do to us? If it is her... that would be torture enough!"
Sean sighed and leaned back against the wall. "What are they going to do to us? If it is her... that would be torture enough!"
((That was my first novel ever. It's called Two Sparrows. would you like to read it sometime? I'd love some constructive criticism... But I don't have it posted.))
"Yeah." Sean brushed the tears away quickly and shook his head angrily. "I... I need to know if it's her. Could you... you said you're really strong. Would you be able to get in there?"
"Yeah." Sean brushed the tears away quickly and shook his head angrily. "I... I need to know if it's her. Could you... you said you're really strong. Would you be able to get in there?"
((Thanks! I'll send the first chapter to you tomorrow. can't right now, though.))
Sean groaned. "Yeah, I know. But wouldn't you be desperate to know, too? I mean... she's my little sister. I haven't seen her for four years." His voice broke.

((*smiles*))
Sean let a few tears fall. "Dammit," he whispered.
Sean let a few tears fall. "Dammit," he whispered.
He nodded. "She's only ten years old! How could they?" He stood and began pacing.

He reached her and sat down again. "Now they'll know. They watch everywhere. You'd better hope they weren't paying attention... but don't count on it. I know that. They watch the people who are watching us. They're always watching."
Sean nodded. "Well... that's good." He closed his eyes and leaned back, taking deep breaths and trying to calm down. "What are we going to do now?" he asked, his voice flat.

He nodded and sighed. "Okay..." His voice was grim.
((Can you be whoever it is? I'm braindead right now.))
((Can you be whoever it is? I'm braindead right now.))
((Thanx))
Sean looked up with weary eyes. "Hello. Are you our executioner?"
Sean looked up with weary eyes. "Hello. Are you our executioner?"
Sean shrugged. "I wasn't joking. I was honestly curious."
Sean nodded. "So who are you?" he asked.
Sean sighed. He took Shadow's hand and squeezed it slightly. "So. Care to tell us what's going to happen to us?"

Shadow couldn't read him: someone had put a block up.
Sean narrowed his eyes. "One of those people, huh? You enjoy others' pain? Sick."
"Ugh." Sean rolled his eyes and looked away. He could see into the little glass room inside the room now. He saw his sister, curled up in a ball, tear stains on her cheeks.
