"Some one is causing the shadows.... I think I can find out." He walked over to it. There was a small teenager trying to get around the house. He frowned. "Shoo." he told her. She ran as fast as she could in the street and home. Jake shook his head and walked back to veetun. "Dang kids." He said.
Veetun smirked, kids usually crawled around where they shouldn't. " Who's causing the shaodws? How would you find somehting like that out?"
"What? The kid was causing the shadows. I can tell because I have far better eyesight.-He pointed to himself- vampire remember?" he said.
" Are you sure? I think I see a few more." Veetun gestured to the shadows closing in on the house. " Whoever's in there is going to need some help. Shall we?" Veetun gave Jake a smirk and unsheathed his sword.
Jake rolled his eyes and zapped the shadows with a bolt of lighting that came off of his hand. All the shadows dissapeared. He smirked and sat on the grass. "Pretty easy." He said.
Veetun stood there startled. " How'd you do that?" His eyes where wide. " You missed one," Veetun gestured towards a shifting shadow.
Jake zapped it quickly. "I have powers." He said.
Veetun sighed. " How'd you get those?"
"Just the luck of the draw I guess..." He said.
" Wait Vampires don't get powers." Veetun was feeling a little quezzy. Remebering all the vampires he had irritated before.
"Ya they do. Only some though." Jake said.
" Uh. That sucks," Veetun murmurred.
"Not for us but for the humans yes..." he said.
" As if you couldn't get them easily enough already."
"Hey its not my fault. I dont hunt humans anyways. I hunt animals... I have to many friends of your species veetun." He said.
Veetun nodded, " Sounds good to me."
"I agree." Jake said. "So Ive lost count. How old are you now?" He asked trying to change the subject.
Veetun smirked. Jake never could keep track of his age."20"
Gwen ducked and tried to look for a way out of the circle, seeing a small break she quickly ducked out and headed toward the back door.
Rife killed teh first Shadow and moved on to the next one.
Gwen tried the door and finding it locked she sighed. Why did it always turn out like this, sometimes her life was so cliche. She searched the desk for anything of use.
Samantha ducked as a shadow attacked her, dodging it easily. She whipped her chain at the shadow but it had started shifting and she swore.
"20 wow your younger than I remember.... I was 20 the last time you saw me.... I got turned into a vampire at age 21. I havent aged since...." He sighed remembering what he had become.

Samantha whipped at the shadow again and this time it disappeared at contact with her chain.
"Yes I sure will too." Jake replied.
Veetun sighed. Life could be so unfair some times. Veetun leaned against a tree and closed his eyes.
"So what have you been doing for the past few years?" Jake asked.
" Oh, the usual. Causing trouble, dating here and there, always breaking it off and leaving before they get attached. Beating my challengers with ease," Veetun added pulling out his sword and swinging it around a few times.
"Just as I remember." Jake said to his fellow friend.
Gwen found a credit card and went to work on the door. It was harder than she had thought.

"Yes well you have matured a great deal." He joked.
Veetun laughed softly. " Yes, well, when the person who came up with all the stupid ideas that kept you immature leaves- you tend to grow up a bit." Veetun's face was strait as he gazed up at the stars.
"True. Vampirazation took all of the childness out of me though I still can have humor." He said looking at Jupiter. His eyes where strong enough to see that far.
" I know. It was one of the first things I realized when I saw you." Veetun's let his eyes fall to the groudn to study the grass.
"Yes. So what are you doing out so late at night?" Jake asked veetun.
" Well I-" Veetun hesitated. Not sure what to say.
I...heard something outside my window last night. It freaked me out. So I...I've been out looking for the intruder." Veetun shrugged.
"It was either that teenager or those shadows. Or something else." He shuddered at the thought.
"The one I had to shoo away." He said.
"A few minutes ago. Dont you remember?" He said. "And I said 'Dang Kids.' " He said.
" Oh, yeah. That's right." Veetun paused. " It wasn't the kid. It was somethign else, something more..."
