I'm going to throw you a curve ball from left field (I know, mixed metaphors).
Witch World by Andre Norton is a finished, long series. Actually, it's a series of interconnecting series. It is part sci fi, part "high" fantasy, and part PNR, depending on where you are in the series. This is one series that I ALWAYS recommend. There are 30+ books--some are short story collections, and some are anthologies set in the Witch World world, so you'll be getting a lot of different stories and views of the Witch World itself.
(edit) After you read the first few books, you can read the others in just about any order that you want, until you get to the last 3 books--which are the "tieing up" books of the series. So, read in this order: Witch World Web of the Witch World these 2 set the stage for the world--all the world building is in them. After you finished these 2, the next 3 Three Against the Witch World Warlock of the Witch World and Sorceress of the Witch World concern the children of the MC's in the first 2 books. After these 3 books, you can pretty much read whatever order you want, since the stories bop around location wise and even character wise. So you'll have series with witches, a type of fae-like creatures, warlocks, Viking like characters, shape-shifters, non-humans etc. etc. etc. (And did I mention the intelligent animals?????)

Also have you tried Lynsay Sands? I love her Arganue series (Though I kill that last name every time)A Quick Bite book one to the series.

Another one is Dark Light by S.L. Jennings. Its a total of 3 books and its complete.
Deep in your Veins by Suzanne Wright is another one i deeply enjoyed. The first 3 books focuses on the same characters while the 4th one focuses on side characters from the first 3.
I recently readThe Dark Elements by Jennifer L. Armentrout and i rather much enjoyed it. Shes also the author of the Lux series which i also enjoyed. I like her writing style.

Here are a few more I like:

This is Historical PNR but I'm really liking it:

Thank you everyone! You have awesome suggestions! I will be sure to check most (if not all) of them out!
:)

ya know i realllllly tried to get into the Guardella vampires, it looked soooo like something i would love! But if a book cant hold my attention in the first 5 pages, im out! I was really bummed...

Casey--a word of warning about the Karen Marie Monig Fever series--make sure that you have the entire series on hand before you start reading it. I personally hate, hate, hate cliff-hangers, but I didn't know that about this series until AFTER I was hooked on it. And, unfortunately, I got hooked when there were only TWO of the books out--that year long wait between each book was killer. However, you are lucky that the entire series is finished now.

Aurora Sky is a really good New Adult vampire series.

The Runes series by Ednah Walters and the Relentless Trilogy by Karen Lynch are both very good as well.

Shari Kay wrote:" ... Has anyone mentioned

and also agree with Lauren

My other personal suggestions don't seem to be here yet, so here goes (starting with the completed series):
Sabina Kane series by Jaye Wells starting with

Dark Days series by Jocelynn Drake starting with

Signs of the Zodiac series by Vicki Pettersson starting with

Allie Beckstrom series by Devon Monk starting with

Weather Warden series by Rachel Caine starting with

Then:
Yasmine Galenorn for her Otherworld/Sisters of the Moon series, that is different because each third book is told from the perspective of one of three different sisters, starting with

Kitty Norville series by Carrie Vaughn starting with

Cassandra Palmer series by Karen Chance starting with

Chronicles of Elantra series by Michelle Sagara starting with

AND because no one has mentioned them I can't let them be left off if you haven't read them would be:
Mercy Thompson series and it's spin off Alpha & Omega both by Patricia Briggs and still on going.
Elemental Assassin series by Jennifer Estep with book 14 coming out early next year.
The Dresden Files series by Jim Butcher with book 16 expected out next spring.
Finally, but I suspect I am forgetting something amazing, I can't leave off Charlaine Harris and not just for her Sookie Stackhouse series of 13 books, because I can count on one hand the times I have seen the HBO version. But also for her many other series, that depending are not always romance or paranormal like the Sookie series in in both regards, but are very good.

Yep, agree with you on IAD series by Kresley Cole. Have you read her YA one that's out? It's good. I believe its going to be made into a movie or TV series or something. Not positive though. (Arcana Chronicles)

Tessa Dawn - Blood Cursed
D.B. Reynolds - Vampires in America
These are Epic and we'll written series

And i have by far not listed all that i would've liked to list, but i thought i'd keep it as close to the genre of the discussion as possible. So i tried to avoid the space opera genre, etc.

The last two someone else mentioned, but the Mercy Thompson series is awsome, full of shifter action and bad and wicked fay. Alpha and omega is a spin off, yet still connected / the stories are taking place more or less at the same time.
God save the queen, the only problem is, that it's just 3 books long. It's got goblins, vampires and Lupins, oh and humans.., living side by side or underneath if you may.
Cleen sweep, has got magic, vamps, lupins and gates to diffrent planets, its probably more sci fi, but then..again not. It's more on the lighter end, but an interesting universe still.

I will get straight to the point. I am looking for a books series that is phenomenal. The ones that you always recommend to people and yell saying "READ THIS NOW!" Yes I need those recs from you. I absolutely love series (the longer the better naturally) and I am about 0/6 right now on the past series I have tried to enjoy. Now I am at an utter loss and I need help! Looking for PNR but will not say no to UF.
Common recs I have already read:
BDB by J.R. Ward
LOTU by Gena Showalter
Demonica by Larissa Ione
League + Dark Hunter by Sherrilyn Kenyon
IAD by Kresley Cole
Kate Daniels by Ilona Andrews (Did not enjoy)
Riley Jenson Guardian by Keri Arthur
Otherworld by Kelly Armstrong
Midnight Breed by Lara Adrian
Psy-Changeling by Nalini Singh
Dark by Christie Feehan
*Edit:
Fever series I tried reading, but I could only get through the first book and that was enough Mac for me for a long while...
There are a bunch of other ones but I typically see these recommended and don't want you to waste your time, though thank you anyway!
Looking for either completed series or longish series, but naturally I am up for any recommendations that you absolutely adore :)
Thank you thank you!
