I was creating an alternate cover edition for a book. The server was over-loaded so I created 3 by mistake. Please delete these two entries:https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
These two books have the ISBN 9781472092 and 9781447209225, respectively. I believe the person who edited the first, erroneously added the ISBN13 to ISBN10 field. Can these two editions and their accompanying data be merged?

re 969, they have different covers. no merge.970 done.
971 done. The two editions weren't separated from the rest, but I know you've posted here before. I take it someone had recombined them again?
972 done.
973 done.
974 done.
975 merge pending.
re 977, those have different covers. again, no merge. FYI, we count medallions, review blurbs, etc. as being new covers, even when they overlay identical cover images. at least, i believe that's policy...as for ibook, if i had to guess, that was made by someone who purchased it on itunes???? anyway, fixed.
Z-Squared - I started looking at this list before you posted and the two that Ellie had linked for 969 had the same cover. I saw the note about it being an alternate cover - but it looked to me like the alternate cover was the green one - (the most popular one). So I did merge the two she linked and moved the note to the fist edition stating that it was the alternate cover. I hope what I did was not a mistake.
re 969, it's pretty much impossible for me tot ell at this stage what has happened. i will say this, they were nearly identical, except one had a quote added to the top, and maybe a 'new york times bestseller' ribbon, too. that makes it a new cover, thus an ACE is needed. for that book, it's been reissued a bunch of times with subtle additions (medallions, blurbs, ribbons, etc.). Just something to keep in mind when merging books!

Merge please! The first one is the truncated ISBN-13 of the second.
Re 979 I think you merged identical covers. As I was in the process of separating those. There are not many green covers and I have been looking mainly into the red ones. Re 977, okay it might be ACE to a paperback though. Who knows!
re ... all of these, i have to admit i'm getting slightly confused as to which books are wool #1 and which books are the omnibus editions. you might want to doublecheck that i correctly recombined things after the fact :)
Will recombine now. The red ones are mostly Wool omnibus. It is confusing because the first 5 short stories that make up the omnibus are Wool series (therefor Wool Omnibus), but the big Silo trilogy (that is Wool Omnibus, Shift Omnibus and Dust) is officially Wool trilogy. Some editions are called Silo but are wool books (the first five stories), some omnibus editions are Silo. Different languages use different Series names as well.
You think you are confused! I have no idea what are the correct series names!
Also, these two:https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...
The second is more accurate, but the cover photo has better resolution in the first.

(I'm on a pet project, can you tell?)
Jenny, we appreciate the merges! But please, before posting requests to this thread, separate the two editions to be merged from the remaining editions. that makes it a lot easier for librarians to respond. 988-990 pending.

Usually just title and author. Sometimes they come from a misspelled author, or very early information pre-release.
Yes, those get merged.
