He sat up and looked at her. "Hey."

Kyla jumped, turning to look at him. "Hi.." She said softly.
He rubbed his head. "My headaches gone. I think I'm good to drive."
He nodded and tried to get up but felt dizzy. "Nope."
He sat back on the couch. "Maybe in an hour."
He sighed and went over tinted bed and laid down.
Kyla stood up. "I'll be back." She promised.
He nodded and laid on his back, staring at the ceiling.
She grabbed her book along with a hoodie from her car.
She quietly came back in, pulling the hoodie over her head.
Kyla smiled faintly at him, sitting back in her chair.
He smiled back then looked back at the ceiling.
She opened her book and started to read.
Kyla didn't notice, her mind entirely focused on the book. She bit her lip lightly, still reading.
Kyla glanced over at him before back at her book.
He sat up. "We keep glancing at each other. Last night we went out for drinks and I said a few things."
"Yeah. I know." Kyla nodded. She sighed softly and closed her book n
"You were drunk. Lots of people say stuff when they're drunk." Kyla shrugged. "But fine. You want to talk so let's talk." She said softly. Her neck and throat were still sore and bothering her.
"What did I say exactly? I can't quite remember." He rubbed his head.
"You said how your sister died, and that's about it.." Kyla said softly. She sighed and looked at him.
"Feel like I said something else." He said.
"Nothing important." She lied convincingly. Kyla still remembered all of what he said but found none of it to be important enough to tell him, not even what he had said about her.
"Okay." He sighed. "Do you want to talk about anything else?"
Kyla sighed. She started talking quietly to herself, thinking out loud.
"Okay I'm just going to come out she say it, I feel an attraction to you." He said.
Kyla fell silent, hearing him. She bit her lip, unsure how to respond. Honestly she liked him but didn't know how and didn't want to admit it. She nodded. "I know.. You kinda said that last night."
"I thought you said I didn't?" He leaned forward.
"I had figured it was just the alcohol in your system talking, not something you meant." Kyla said softly, looking down.
He nodded. "I don't blame you for not telling me."
Kyla sighed. Running a hand through her hair, she whispered, "I like you too.."
Kyla bit her lip and finally looked up, looking at him.
"I feel like a teenage boy." He muttered. "Okay stand up."
