Kyla set her gun in front of her, it pointed at the door. She opened the book and started reading.
Kyla glanced at him, biting her lip. She looked down at her book again.
Kyla kept reading, not paying attention to him. It was the fourth Harry Potter book.
Kyla smiled faintly. "It's my favorite too.."
"Yeah. A little bit. I like sad endings better then happy ones though." Kyla shrugged.
"Sad endings seem more real." Kyla shrugged. "They seem more like they could or would happen."
He nodded and sat next to her. "True."
Kyla shifted the book so he could read it too. She kept reading silently.
Kyla kept reading, biting her lip lightly.

He didn't know it but he was slowly leaning towards her.
Kyla didn't notice, her mind completely on the book. She glanced up at the door.
His hand slipped she he suddenly fell into her.
Kyla rolled her eyes at him. "I'm not a good pillow." She said, lifting the book so she could keep reading.
He got off her. "Sorry my arm gave out."
"It's fine." Kyla kept reading like nothing had happened.
Kyla noticed his face was red and smiled faintly. She glanced at the door.
He cleared his throat and sat straight up
Kyla stopped reading, listening closely. She thought she had heard something.
He looked over at her and then at the door.
Kyla closed the book, reaching for her gun.
He grabbed his knife and gun and stood up.
Kyla quietly stood. She clicked the safety off of the gun.
Kyla peered out the corner of the window. "It's right outside the door." She said, quickly moving toward the door.
He backed away slowly and held his gun out.
Kyla was further away from the door, standing off to the side of it.
Kyla glanced around, listening closely.
Kyla could hear retreating footsteps, as if it was leaving.
He stepped to the door and opened it.
