The Fibonacci Sequence Reading Challenge

[Moderators of NBRC, Challenger-in-Chief]

The Fibonacci Sequence is a series of numbers in which each number ( Fibonacci number ) is the sum of the two preceding numbers:

1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, ...

⇔ The 2 is found by adding the two numbers before it (1+1)
⇔ Similarly, the 3 is found by adding the two numbers before it (1+2)
⇔ And the 5 is (2+3)
⇔ and so on!

The next number in the sequence above would be 21+34 = 55



Levels:

Tree Branching                             ⇔1 - 4 books
Artichoke Flowering                   ⇔5 - 9 books
Fern Uncurling                             ⇔10 - 15 books
Honeybees and Family Trees  ⇔16 - 20 books
Bunny Explosion                          ⇔21+ books

You set the pace!

How To Play:

Using the sequence number of a book, read your own Fibonacci Sequence. You can pre-choose the size of your sequence and work several steps at same time, or you can unleash your inner OCD self and read the sequence orderly, one step at a time. Your challenge, your rules.

How to get the sequence number of a book:

Option 1 ⇔Use the series number. You can either use a single book or two books combined.
Example:

- which is #8 in the series as #8
+ - which are #1 and #3 in their series as #13
+ which are #1 in their series as #2

Option 2 ⇔You may use the number of letters in the title or the author's, the series', or main character's name to get your Fibonacci number or any combination of those mentioned.
Example:

E+V+E as #3
O+N+C+E by A+N+N+A_+_C+A+R+E+Y as #13

If you prefer, you can also combine the two options above, using, for instance

as #1 and as #3

Option 3 ⇔Use your TBR: Sort your to-read or other shelf of your choice by date added - you can choose either descending or ascending but keep your chosen direction till the end of the challenge. Then you just have to read books #1, #1, #2, #3, #5, #8 and so on

Actually my, zero question was about bigger numbers, like 610. I guess I could go with 6 & 10 but that would feel like cheating. ☺

You can factorize it. 10 = 2 X 5, so, you can read 6&2&5

Or, since we are allowing sums, you can do 5&5 = 10

I was always good friend with numbers (unless they had some weird symbols/letters stuck in front of them).

I still feel reading 10 would be like cheating (not to mention my inner OCD is having fits) since all other numbers in sequence are one number at the time. That's why I asked about 0. 610 would be 6 & 1 & 0.

I have no idea how high I'll go. Maybe I won't reach 610, but I like to have my options open. Since it's open ended I though I go until I get bored or numbers become to complicated. ☺

OK, so here's how I'm seeing it:

If you want to do 6 + 1 + 0:
- you can use a 0.2, 0.4 or whatever book in the series as a 0, or a novella that is part of the series.

- You can use a book with a ZERO in the title, like

- OR you can use spell-it-out

Or, you can do 6 + 10, using any method to reach 10, a #10, a #3+#7, a #2 X #5

I have a lot to do at work and around 20 something books I want to read for March, so naturally, my inner chip'n'dale are on a "let's make new challenges" mood
