The Red Men by Matthew De Abaitua, 190500558X (ISBN13: 9781905005581) is showing an incorrect 'date published' of 1st September 2015.It should be 'first published' 1st October 2007.
(His new one, If Then, was published in September 2015.)

Rann, I don't think the changes are correct. Beowulf is not something that JRR Tolkien wrote completely by himself. It's a classic text that Tolkien mostly translated (maybe slightly adapted?). For such books, we keep the primary author as Unkown.I'd be extremely wary of changing authors when the book has 500+ editions :)
I don't think changing the publishing date (and original date) is correct too. The book is already in the database with 2015 and several users have added it. Maybe Harper re-released a new edition in 2016 - if so, we add a new edition (mostly if the new edition has significant changes or even a new cover) but for most reprints when there are no major changes, I don't think we'll need to add a new edition anyhow.

as I said in my first request, this is not a mere translation: there are commentaries and original information (Tolkien's lectures) that should justify the author changes.
About the publication date, I was quite dubious too (see the question marks? ^_^), but this is what I found on amazon researching the ISBN...
Anyway, I added the sources I looked upon before sending my request: you are the librarians, and the last informed call should be yours! ;->

The second obviously refers to the hardback edition and not on the paperback... which should be in 2015 and not '16. Unfortunately, I am not planning to buy the book now so I can't offer a first hand check. :-/

Hi all,I am facing quite a conundrum: I found on my father's shelves and I am now reading the following book

However, all details (publication date, publisher, pages) do not correspond to the information on the site, except its ISBN and its format (paperback)!!
I did a little digging and found on Amazon two different editions pointing to the same ISBN (see below). Of the two editions only 1) is loaded in the goodreads database, and is the one the link above points to, nevertheless the book I'm holding in my hands corresponds to 2): would it be possible to add this alternate edition?

Sphere is an imprint from Little, Brown. Little, Brown was at that time owned by Warner.Changed the publisher on the existing edition to the imprint (Sphere) and the year to the first year with this isbn and cover (1982).
From what I can see on Amazon, the covers are identical, so no need to create an alternate edition.

Hi GuysMy publisher changed the covers on my books and I'm hoping someone can upload the new ones for me. They are on Amazon. The new covers are for the St. Barts series--Love, Lessons, Back, Baby, Ghosts, Brothers and Secrets. My name is Emme Cross and I am the author. I understand you can't delete the old covers but maybe show the alternate ones? I hope this is the last switch but it's not up to me.

I added original title and pub, date. Hopefully that fixes the issue. Can you please check now?

Did you set it as default only recently? It usually takes up to 72 hours for the search page to catch up due to caching. I see the paperback as default on your author page but when I search for the book, I get Kindle edition (and not hardcover).
The author dashboard will show the first edition added, irrespective of what you set as primary/default. But the dashboard is visible only to you

Amazon is not an authoritative source for page counts, except for Kindle editions. Also, please always provide the ISBN with page count requests, even when linking to the book.
