It could be possible that Amazon is counting pages that we don't count, as WorldCat states: "xv, 159 pages : illustrations ; 24 cm", which means that there's 15 pages numbered with roman numerals (which we don't count), plus illustrations. The 15 plus 159 would equal 174, which is just 2 short of Amazon's 176.
Therefore I'd use the count from WorldCat. But still good to check with the actual edition.

It is indeed 85 for the 2nd book, and 83 for the first.
(do we agree that for the page count we need to check the last numbered page?)

for page numbering, please refer to this:
"The number of pages in a book is meant to include all content except for advertisements and preview chapters for other books. Included end material may include acknowledgments, afterwords, appendices, glossaries, indexes, notes, and suggested discussion questions.
Introductory material paged using roman numerals is not included in the total page count."

OK. With this definition, both the books have 88 pages.
The numbers I gave before where the last numbered pages, but other pages that fall in the "Included end material" definition followed.

I am both Cari Silver and Silverwood and initially thought adding myself as illustrator ( I made the cover) was a good idea but since Magience is a YA book, this means there's an easy hyperlink that teenagers might click leading to this erotic writer pen name and I don't want that.
