After all the excitement of the last book, Sunny & Sven are now happily living in Los Angeles.

description

Only it's not really all that happy.
Yes, they love each other and the sex is amazing, and even though for the first time in her life, Sunny found some friends her own age... Sunny is lonely and alone.
Sven is gone all day, working on a new movie, and Sunny is doing everything she can to turn his old apartment into a new home.
Plus, suddenly Hollywood thinks she and Sven are the new IT couple, and Sunny has to attend a million events and she has to hire a stylist and dress up all the time.
And there are Paparazzi everywhere.... Sven might be used to that Hollywood stuff... but Sunny...

description

she'd rather run around in shorts at home on St. Barts.
But she loves Sven and she wants to make this work, she wants to start a future ... full of love and babies and happiness.

Will Sunny & Sven make it?
Will they get their HEA?
Or will Hollywood destroy their young love?
Will Sunny go back to St. Barts alone?
Will there be a Cliffhanger????

NOPE - not tellilng you - #NoSpoilers ☺

Ugh - I loooved those 2 new books.

Finally back on beautiful St. Barts with Sunny & Sven and all the other adorable co-stars.

I'm sooo in love with the whole atmosphere of the books - being in St. Barts must be soo amazing. I can almost see and feel and smell the beauty of the island.

description

But we start in LA first... I'm a huge California fan too ☺

Who I wasn't a fan of, was SVEN!!!!!

description

Ugh, that idiot - I could've killed him in the first half of book #3 .... and poor Sunny is so understanding and grown-up about it all. I really love her. But of course we love Sven too... he just has LOTS of growing up to do until he can get his HEA with the love of his life.

I don't want to write too much - you don't want to be spoiled ☺
Just know that I LOVE this series.
Sunny is such an amazing character!
And Sven.... so adorable and kind of totally lost without his Sunny ☺

This is such a beautiful series. An amazingly different kind of love story, with amazing characters, set on the beauiful Island of St. Barts. Please go and buy the books - you won't regret it - you will fall in love with Sunny, Sven + St. Bart's just like I did!

Can somebody please call Hollywood - I would LOVE to have a TV Show about Sunny & Sven and all the other Islanders!!!!

Ah, this book proves that Sven and Sunny have some problems in their seemingly perfect relationship! However, the author handles these issues with thoughtfulness and sensitivity. I thought the story started a little slow, but as I got into it, the hours reading flew by and I ended up enjoying it tremendously. This series has been really fun to read!

Thank you to NetGalley and Joffee Books for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

BACK TO ST. BARTS , (St. Barts Romance Books Series Book 3), EMME CROSS
Genre:  Romance,
I loved the first two books, which I’d read when they were together as one and have been waiting for these follow up novels.

Once again Sunny just pulls me in, she seems to touch everyone with a bit of “Sunny magic” as she passes them. She’s one of those people who seem so good they’re either hiding something awful, or just presenting a facade and are very mean inside. Sunny isn’t though – she a rarity, someone who sees good in everything and everyone, and I adored her. She’s come to LA now to be with Sven, but despite his intentions and promises he’s really going about his life as normal and its Sunny that has to make all the adaptions to her life. She tries hard to support him, gets dressed up to be by his side even though she hates it, stands by while actresses and fans paw at him and treat her as disposable, and just gets on with organising his life and the redecorating of the home he shared with Clyde. Yes that’s right – Sven clearly hasn’t realised how awful it will be for Sunny living in the home of the man who tried to kill her....and that sums him up – He’s not intentionally cruel, just totally thoughtless, and as we saw before he can be very selfish, self obsessed as so many actors seem to be, and in many ways he still needs to grow up and learn to look at others needs, not just his own.
Though I loved him in the first book(s) we could see even then that streak of selfishness and lack of maturity, his readiness to blame everyone but himself, but I thought he’d finally grown up once he fell in love with Sunny and realised what she was to him. She doesn’t doubt his love, but its clear to her things aren’t going as she’d hoped even though she’s doing her best. There’s a scene where she’s working with chef Stuart White one evening and Sven is out at a function alone, where he does something that shocked me to the core and yet he doesn’t seem to think anything of it :- o . Then he has the gall to try to justify what he did, and get angry with Sunny for her reaction. They muddle along, with things going great at some points and not so good at others, and I really wanted to shake him. Then there’s something happens that blows everything apart, and it’s potentially make or break time.
Its a story full of drama and heartbreak and yes, I was so angry at Sven, and yet of course if he hadn’t been like this it would be a very dull book!! Its always a conundrum, we berate characters for their actions and yet the stories would be bland and boring without them ;- ) Sunny is a real star here, and I so hoped they could find their way back, their love was so clear to see, but Love doesn’t conquer all despite the ballads that say it does. It needs some hands guiding it and lots of help.

Stars:five stars, it was great to see just how hard the changes were for them both and how easy it is to let things slip out of control.

If you enjoyed my review I'd love it if you would please click “Like” and if you didn't I'd love to know why, in case I've inadvertently added a spoiler and need to edit.

Sven is an actor and is starting to make it big in hollywood. Sunny is an owner of a group of villas in St Barts where the two met and started their relationship.
I guess this part of a series, this is the first book that I read.I have to say the storyline is good, the book starts off with a lot of sexual interaction between the characters. I felt it was hard to like either character much. Sven feels because of who he is he can treat Sunny like crap and expect her to deal with it. Sunny has craved to have a family and so she puts up with his crap. The only person I really liked in the book was Judith she is a no nonsense person and won't deal with her sons crap. The book ends in a cliff hanger and to be honest I am not in a hurry to find out what happens.

Disclosure: I received this book free of charge from the publisher, but this review consists of my honest opinions, not influenced in any way by the author or publisher

Even though the author explained her motivations at the end of the book. I still hated Sven , he was such a self-absorbed jerk. And as for Sunny, she was just too naive. I felt the author was making justifications for these character's flaws. It was too painful to read at some points of Sven's careless attitude towards Sunny. His neglectful mannerisms and selfishness was just too much. Is Sunny a saint or what? Because not many women will martyr themselves for a jacka**. I also felt that Linus was attracted to Sunny. And this is the type of man she needs, a steady and reliable man.

There was too much angst in this book. I was hoping that Sunny would really get smart and wake up. I hope so .

"Life is what happens when you are making other plans."
From my other reviews, we've already established that Sunny is a flawless character. Still, I'm waiting to see a single flaw. But nope, she's just too perfect for me that I can't connect with her. Plus, she's too stupid. The author kinda explained why in the end, but I still think she's damn stupid. Oh, wait- is that the flaw I'm looking for? Yes, finally!!!

I found Sven to be too flat and too typical and annoying and just a stupid asshole. Sorry.

Sunny and Sven’s romance has been a joy to read. After the horrendous events of the previous novel, it was my hope that when our couple flew off to Los Angeles to live there together it would be a good thing for them. Sadly it was a good thing for Sven – not so much for Sunny.

Sunny is a nester. She wants a home, a family a life with Sven. She has no troubles arranging his apartment, taking care of the details of his crazy life, even going to the fancy dress up events is something she is willing to do for him because she loves him. And she believes this craziness is temporary. Soon they will buy their own home and settle in to make that first entry in the journal that Sven gave her a reality. 1. Make babies. … right.

Once back in Los Angeles Sven is turning back into the insecure actor he always was and starting to behave badly. Even though Sunny is at his side, taking care of his every need and asking for very little in return – he’s still not onboard with this whole “in love” thing. He lavished attention on Sunny in their sexual encounters – but the rest of the time, he’s off doing his Hollywood actor thing. Which includes cheating. Oh, he doesn’t see it as cheating and Sunny will see his infidelities as her fault for not “being enough” for him.

Then that “something happens” – and if you’ll look at the book cover photo, well I don’t think you’ll have a difficult time figuring out that that something is..

Part of me wanted to rage at Sven for being so stupid. Another part wanted to shake Sunny for being so accepting and not standing up for herself. In the end what I felt most was simply sad. Love is rarely perfect, but after what these two have gone through it is simply sad to see their relationship come to this.

It is never my intent to give away anything with spoilers so I would strongly suggest you pick up the next installment of the series. St. Barts to read the sad tale.

Back to St. Barts did end on a cliffhanger which will lead to the next novel in the series and the conclusion to events started in this one. I enjoyed the story very much and understand that life happens even to our fictional heroes. I would recommend this one for any reader who loves a continuation story type of series. And who loves a good story with the hopes of a happy ever after eventually.

*I received an e-ARC of Back to St. Barts from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. That does not change what I think of this novel.*

LOVED IT!! **I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review**
Sunny and Sven are now living in LA. Anna is their neighbor and friend. Anna's brother is Juan. Anna and Juan are the first friends Sunny had that were her own age. She also had Sven's fellow actor Jon's wife Renee, who is helping Sunny and Sven find a house to buy.
I totally enjoyed this story. Sunny was her usual self. Going through strife, but did bounce back even happier, except for her non-relationship for awhile. I rooted her on. Sven, I wonder if he ever will grow up. That is the question. But I do have faith in him. He does really love Sunny, but he does need to grow up and put others before himself.
I loved the characters, the plot and the overall story. I can't wait for the next story in this series. I highly recommend!

This book disappointed me. I felt the things Sven did were out of character for where his and Sunnys relationship was and so were her reactions. Most of the book was a tell instead of show which only improved at about 79%
I really home the author redeems this story in the final book.
