Day 1: Book Shopping Spree
Day 2: Book Spine Poetry
Day 3: Reading Soundtrack
Day 4: Mid-Event Questionnaire
Day 5: Rainbow Book Covers
Day 6: Series Planner
Day 7: End of Event Questionnaire

Someone comes up to you and hands you $100 that you must spend on books. Let us know books would you get! (:
Just imagine all hardcover books are $20 and all paperbacks are $10.

No, has to be books out already.

If I had $100 to spend on books, I would buy ten paperbacks. I would [probably] get:

Day One Challenge : Book Shopping Spree
Hopefully, I could spend it all on ebooks... I haven't actually purchased a paperback or hardcover book since getting my Kindle.

okay, so i actually have $100 in gift cards to a bookstore. still can't decide which books to buy, but since this is virtual...
paperback:

most of these are historical fantasy. cool.

This challenge may take a bit of thinking. It would be awesome if you use books from your readathon TBR but any books you own would work as well.
Use the titles of the books and make a poem using the titles. You can use as little or as many titles as you want.
I would ask if you insert all of the book covers in a line first and then under just write the book titles in the poem form so we can read all of the poems! (:

While he was away,
Far far away,
Sometimes it happens.
When it happens,
Trust me,
Things are gonna get ugly.

lol I'm using the titles of all the books I read yesterday
Mine's not so much a poem as a statement :)
When You Were Here
you were my Reason to Breathe
but in Reality Boy, I was wrong
who knew I'd add you to my Hate List
and now like a Clockwork Angel
I must move on

Pick the book you are currently reading or one of the books and pick a song that fits the book and tell us why you chose that song.

1. How are you liking the week long duration?
2. How many pages have you read so far (as of day 4?)
3. What could we do differently to make this even better next time?

Pick your favorite book covers. One has to be red, one orange, one yellow, one green, one blue, one purple, and one multi-color one!

Let us know three series you wish to finish up this year and three series you would like to start this year.

My disappointment in Ketchup Clouds
To be drawn in by a gorgeous cover only to be left in Shadows of missed potential Fracture's Me.
Pause, Reboot, Breathe.
Choose another book from your Horde,
It will take you away to the land of A Million Suns

I choose Make out Kids by Motion City Soundtrack and Pumped up Kicks by Foster the People as I was listening to these songs on day three while reading.

1. How are you liking the week long duration?
I am enjoying the week long duration. I wish I could participate more but work has been crazy overwhelming.
2. How many pages have you read so far (as of day 4?)
Day 1, 2 and 3 total: 1206 pages.
3. What could we do differently to make this even better next time?
I would love more notice for the next one so that I could attempt to book a few days off work so I could have more time to read.
I also think it would be fun to vote on and pick one book that everyone participating in the week long read-a-thon tries to read together as a buddy read.

3 series I plan to finish in 2014: Shatter Me, The Selection, His Fair Assassin
3 series I plan to start in 2014: Fire and Thorns, Nobody's Princess, The Iron Fey: Call of the Forgotten

My heart, ripped to shreds
By your Three Broken Promises
I have still Fallen Too Far
You are still my Reason to Breathe
And I can't help but Flat-Out Love you

I think Demons by Imagine Dragons fits all the all my completed books for this week.
The MCs were all tortured in some way or other, either by their own hand or at the hand of someone else. They all had something to keep hidden, keeping people at arms length.

It would be easier to not use one message and go back and edit it everyday. It would be better to make a new message for each day so I and other members won't miss your challenge!
These challenges are optional. You don't have to do them all. If you don't have time or something like that you can do 4/7 challenges. It doesn't matter! (:
