Breakout New Adult sensation Monica Murphy returns with a hot new contemporary romance—a heartfelt story of second chances, forgiveness, and redemption.

Commitment. That’s what I really want from Colin. Ever since my brother, Danny, died in Iraq, Colin’s done so much to help me, including giving me a job at his popular restaurant so I can leave my crappy waitressing job at

Oh let's just keep with the "I'm such a stud I give my books 5 stars" tradition shall we? ;)

What would you like to know about Jen and Colin? Let me give you a few glimpses into their story:

-- These two are just...completely different than Drew + Fable.

-- There are two words that run through my head as I write it. Guilt and freedom. Guess what? You'll never be free until you let go of the guilt. This is the theme so far.

-- Fable's in the opening scene with Jen. :)

-- Even as I get deeper into this

Let’s get straight to the point shall we? There are no words to describe how much of a disappointment this third installment is. The first two books I absolutely LOVED and there was literally nothing I could pick on. Drew and Fable’s story was jam-packed with emotion and the author expertly explored the darker themes presented in those two books. But this third one? WHAT HAPPENED? What happened to the intensity I know the author can weave into the story? What happened to a captivating plo

Three Broken Rules is a spin off of two characters in the Drew + Fable series. The first two books, I loved. I was really excited to read about Jen and Colin after meeting them in previous books. This wasn’t a bad book, it just wasn’t near as good as the first two for me.

Jen and Colin have known each other a long time. Jen’s brother, Danny, and Colin were best friends growing up. Ever since Danny died in Iraq, Jen and Colin have both had a hard time. Guilt, regret, they both

So I was very excited to read this book as you can see from the gifs I posted below. I was really looking forward to reading Jen and Colin's story after getting a taste of them from Second Chance Boyfriend. Unfortunately, while the story had great potential, I just didn't love it. :(

The biggest reason why this book only got 3 stars for me was Jen herself. Gawd! The girl absolutely has no common sense. I know I'm supposed to be sympathetic to her plight but instead, I just got annoyed with her. S

In Second Chance Boyfriend we met Colin Wilder the self assured, handsome owner of The District (a high scale restaurant) and Jen Cade, the tall dark haired beauty who is best friends with Fable. Both girls work for Colin as waitresses. In Three Broken Promises we finally get to see what is really going on behind all the tension that simmered between the two(Jen and Colin) in the previous book. And to be honest what we learn is no

In this story we find out more of Jen and Colin's history. We first meet them in the first two books in the Drew and Fable Series. Colin is the owner of the restaurant where Fable and Jen work at. In this book, we find out that they actually have known for years and that Colin was Jen's brother's best friend. Their feelings towards one another have steadily grown but both believe themselves unworthy of one another.

I really enjoyed previous Monica Murphy’s books, but Three Broken Promises is absolutely, out of this world perfect romantic story that swept me off my feet. This is Jen and Colin’s story. You may remember Jen as Fable’s best friend from Second Chance Boyfriend, and Colin as their boss at the restaurant/bar where they work.

Jen and Colin have a complicated history. They grew up together, and Colin was the best friend of Jen’s older brother who died in Afghanistan. Living with horrible guilt for not being there for his friend, Colin is determined to live up to his promise to protect Jen, and pulls her out of a nasty situation to give her a job and a ho

I had no clue who Colin and Jen were. But to sum it up, this is a brother's best friend book. They work and live together but they are both holding back secrets.

I liked that Fable featured in this book quite a bit and loveee her advice to Jen.

I don't doubt Fable's threat for a second. My balls are shrivelling up in feat at this very moment

What I didn't like was the main characters. I'm afraid Colin to me wasn't as likeable as Drew and his inability to open up to Jen j

Can I just roll my eyes from frustration?

Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy Colin and Jen's story. I find Drew and Fable's story more adorable and have a promising drama. Just... UGH. They really frustrated me even if they have an intense romance. They keep on holding back their feelings and it's obvious they want each other.

Colin constantly pushes Jen away because he broke three promises.
Jen keeps on whining because she feels Colin doesn't want her.
Jen wants to quit her job but doesn't have a plan w

It seriously pains me to give this book 2 stars because I was so freaking psyched to read it. After Fable and Drew's epic journey I just knew I was in for something special with Jen and Colin. The little peeks of them in the previous book had me anticipating this so much.

So where did it all go wrong, you ask? Because obviously something had to put a damper on my good mood to rate this a 2. It wasn't the writing, which is one of the things I

So, I can't tell you too much of the story until we get closer to the publication date but I will say that this is the 3rd book in the Drew & Fable series.

Best part of the book for me was the heroine's name - Jennifer.

This story is told in the alternating pov of Jen and Colin.

I felt tortured by the main characters inner thoughts and simply wanted more from the story. Colin's promises and fears and Jen's insecurities were exhausting. I spent the majority of the book in their heads denying what they really wanted.

The story wasn't really angsty just kinda annoying. I can't say I liked Colin more than Jen or the other way around but they were nicely

Okay so I have to admit that for a second I was like, who the hell were Jen & Colin again…

and so I went back to read the review I did for Second Chance Girlfriend looking for clues, what I found was this:

“I will miss these two. I really hope that Monica Murphy will consider a companion novel for Colin or Jen.”

Absolutely no help. So I did the logical next step. I went back to SCG and skimmed through looking for clues.

This book was such a nice read. It was easy and well-written book. Three Broken Promises is a story about friendship, loss, love and finding yourself again.

Colin has been having nightmares after losing his best friends in the war. And Jen lose her brother and the same time, her parents didn't take interest of her. She found herself into unwanted situation and has a past that she wants to hide. But yet, it was Colin who came to rescue her.

I loved One Week Girlfriend (Drew + Fable, #1) by Monica Murphy and Second Chance Boyfriend (Drew + Fable, #2) by Monica Murphy . They were awesome reads.
I liked the characters in this book - but I found myself wondering WHY most of the book. Colin & Jen were a great couple - but I wanted more from them. I wanted this book to show a lot more sexy and lust! I HOPE there will be another book about them... I look forward to it.

Colin Wilder is GQ beautiful & he knows it! He is gorgeous, cocky, successful, filthy rich, and a bit mysterious. He keeps up a front that he has everything together in his life, and he is very hard to read. He has been in the restaurant business since the age of 19. He was a playboy for years, never letting anyone close and avoiding commitment. He was raised by parents who never really gave him a real family life and a father that wasn't around much. Colin and Jen are two people with a lot of shame and guilt weighing on their shoulders. They're also harboring deep feelings for each other yet, both are afraid to admit them out loud to each other.

Colin is Jen and Fable's boss. He usually tries to schedule Jen on the same days/nights he is working. This way he can secretly be close to her and watch her whenever he wants. (That sounds creepy I know, but honestly it wasn't. Once you read the story y

It's so good to read something where the couple knew each other since they were so young! I honestly wish I could have had that connection with someone the way Colin and Jen do!

I absolutely loved the first books featuring Drew and Fable and I'm glad to say that I also enjoyed Jen and Colin's story as well. But in all honesty, their story was mainly composed of the typical push and pull between two angst-ridden people who have this burning attraction and passion for each other. I don't think I felt the spark in this book that I did in Drew and Fable's story. I guess I prefer the crazy drama a bit more. Its the kind of book you expect what's coming. I found it a bit repetitive with them going back and forth with Jen thinking she wasn't good enough for him and Colin thinking she deserved better. They had no communication whatsoever. You can say I was a bit frustrated at the both of them. I did love the appearance of Fable, Drew and Owen. Overall, it was okay, no

I love a good heartbreaking couple…I don’t know why, I just do and Jen and Colin might be one of the best I’ve ever read. Damn, they broke my heart. Three Broken Promises is such a powerful but painful story…I was not prepared for the level of angst or inner turmoil these two characters threw at me. And I felt every minute of it. While TBP 'could' be read as a standalone or out of order...I would not recommend it. You meet a
