Reading [bookcover:The Grendel Affair|179129..."
I do that all the time!! It's really bad when you have to work the next day. But when a book is really good, it's so hard to stop. One more chapter turns into 2 more hours!!

Speaking of PNR have you ever noticed a lot of the werewolf books regarding getting a mate are usually like minimal plot, and lots of sex? It seems like an overwhelming majority which is why I absolutely love the Phoenix pack and the Mangus pack, now those are some good pnrs with plots. There was another one too....uh......not the breeds, these guys were special forces but a werewolf shifter division, they got a lot of drama going on there. Something with labs for sure. I really enjoyed those ones too. I'm sure it's in my shifter shelf if I looked lol. But have you checked out that series? Or noticed this trend? Like most of these books are like 200 pages which are a like a sneeze to me lol.

Eventually Ill get to

I won't read the next for Crewel either Belkis and not real sure about BBR. I have heard it was not as good as the first one so I'm not sure. Too many others that I know will be good but I am glad I listened to BBR.

Same for me Tracy. Way too many good ones waiting in our never ending big ass TBR LOL!
OK Belkis, I just got Ceaseless on audio for 1.99 so that will be one series I can mark off my list. *squeal*

Exactly LOL! I bought too. It's so cheap :) so I got to finish this trilogy off today.

I really need to read The Dream Thieves. Glad to hear it's good, Belkis.

Yes Bridget it is. And the writing is so beautiful it's almost haunting. So much detail. I made myself go slow so I could enjoy it and not miss anything. Hope you enjoy it.

I don't know what kind of dialogue it is. Some back woods talking and it took me a minute to get it. You really need to read it Sylvi it's pretty good.

I really liked Blood Red Road, and being a southerner and living in the mountains of NC, the dialogue felt like talking to a neighbor, so it was no problem for me..haha, I hear this dialogue everyday. However, the second book was a disappointment for me. I just thought the story kind of fell apart in book two and the things that made book 1 interesting were missing in the second one, maybe it will improve for the ending, but it fell flat in the middle.. IMO

I love this series, it is so good. I can't wait for the last one! so well-written and intriguing.

I'm from Tennessee and you would think I could have related better than most but nah. We really don't talk that way but in books and movies they portray us like that. Anyway, I heard that about the second book Victoria. Since I was OK with the ending of BRR I'm like Belkis and not going to read the other two. I would like to hear more about Saba and Jack but not if the book isn't good.

I felt the same frustration Laura. And it's really hard to follow at times with so much mystery being heaped on top of mystery. Another 4 star read just like the first one. But the writing is SO beautiful. It's like reading a painting.

Promiscuous looks really good Kitlina. Thanks for the recommendation I've added it to my TBR and looking forward to reading it.

That's what I've heard from most if the people that have read book 2 for BRR. Book 1 ended well enough for me to just leave the story there so I'm good with that too Victoria. If you end up reading book 3 please let us know what you think.

Did you really Belkis? I thought I would be the only one listening to these. I love them. They are so quick and easy and always good for a hearty laugh.

Yes Laura I totally agree. Loved the audios of both. But book 2 was somehow even more layered, more intense, more, MORE. That's why I took my time listening to it and only listened to it once I was relaxed and in bed so I could focus and savor it. Honestly there is so much happening as far as different threads of the story being woven and twisted that you find yourself straining to not miss anything. Not a single second. I thoroughly enjoyed it. That narrator is brilliant. He adds the perfect voice, intonation, and emotion to the story's atmosphere.

I listened to it alone while Hubby was at work and daughter out with friends. So I listened in two sittings,But I still feel like I Missed something or I dunno something is just nagging me to listen or read it again.

Seriously I think in a lot of my progress thoughts I'm like omg Riley stfu ya know? But I still enjoy the books and give them a 4 star rating. Cause they are really good and I definitely don't know where it's going or who is the suspect. That part is nice, but the romance part she is so obtuse.
