What Are You Reading? 2015

Yup, that's it right there. That was my Ruby frustration and pacing/dragging issues too. The first half is a bit hard to get through but the second half is pretty good. I'm hoping that the second book is much better on all counts because I really want to know what happens next for all of them.

LMAO! Oh sweetie, I'm sorry that you feel so lonely in your wallowing. Wish I could be there with you but i haven't gotten to this one yet. I have them sitting in my library but haven't gotten around to them yet. Hope it gets better. Maybe take a break from her frustrating persona and read something else for a bit. You know to cleanse your reading pallet and maybe keep your sanity :D

Well I just finished that one and am onto book 5 I think there is only one more after that so maybe I'll get some resolution? Maybe?

It totally wasn't my cup of tea. Nothing made rational sense.
and to be honest, the thought process of the heroine was kind of twisted. :P blech.
I've moved on to

Oh, sorry you didn't get into Ruined, I absolutely couldn't put it down and had no difficulty with it but I guess that's the funny thing about how we react differently to the same words

It is funny isn't it! (but in the book's defense, I'm quite the picky reader...)

I loved VA, but I love Bloodlines more. And you have to read VA to get some of the context for BL sooooo while they might not be great, personally I had a lot of feels for the book and loved the wittiness of it, I would continue only for you to get to BLs.
They aren't bad, there is a lot of info I forget all that happens in the next 3 books but it's good stuff to me, frustrating but overall good. But trust me on this I highly recommend finishing just to read bloodlines. Sydrian is more swoon worthy than Dimitri and rose.

I stayed away from anything having to do with it until after I read it. I did not want any spoilers at all. Interested to hear what you think I really enjoyed it. I had a few issues with things, but overall I thought it was a good read and understood why Roth wrote it the way she did.

Oh yes definitely :)

Hmmm. You may have convinced me. I actually picked up Bloodline first and realized that I needed to read VA series first cuz I had no idea who they were talking about. That's why I started VA. Don't get me wrong, I didn't dislike VA so far I just wouldn't say I loved it either. Maybe I'm a little burnt out on vampires, LOL :)

Sorry it was so disappointing for you, hate when that happens!

Oh you MUST read it!!! Both of these series are up with my tops for the genre at this point, they're just those books you are so drawn into you can't put them down for hours on end. And they're damned hot, too! ;-)

Woot!!! LOL Can't wait for more from those beasts!

I liked this one a lot Bridget. Hope you enjoy it :)

it's possible things can get rather stale. I use my fillers for that like my werewolf books where they find their mate cause they are typically minimal plot steaminess and quick easy reads. Then I'm able to go back. I had to do it with the Riley Jenson series I'm reading lol cause I've read them back to back and I'm on book 5. But I say get through it because it helps you understand some things in Bloodlines. I will say though that the fiery heart was not as good as it should have been. But I suspect silver shadows will more than make up for it. Which that comes out in July.

Crap Erin! I read Rock Chick & AM STILL THINKING ABOUT TRISTAN & DANIKA! I swear - I am totally crushing on RK Lilley right now. Need another diversion... something either completely different or just as awesome....

Ester - I have to agree w/Danielle: BL is soooo goood! And you prob should read VA first, so you can understand the backstory when Rose/Dimitri/Sydney/Adrian all come together. I totally didn't like the last book, but... well, it wasn't horrible, I just didn't like that things were left un-done... I guess that's why we have BLs. :)

This was my favorite book of last year:)

Reading

I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets minimal sleep when there's a book I can't put down! It's always at that midnight mark that I tell myself "just until the next chapter"... 2 hours later... :)

Exactly Donna. I know I told myself that more than once this morning. I'm paying for it now, but I had to finish that book.

It has a lot to offer, 30% in and would already recommend it!

Well, if you like it then I'll probably take to it for sure since we tend to have similar taste in books (even if our ratings are sometimes not on par with each other!).

LOL you're still stuck on our difference in opinion of the ending to Requiem? You're right though, we're usually on exactly the same page :)

With that said I just finished

I swear if Riley keeps rejecting Quinn I will punch her in the face lol. Don't worry she can take it since she's a werewolf/vamp lololol. Yep I crack myself up.

Well, we did differ on that! LOL! But there was one other. I can't remember which one it was, tho.

Love it! Danielle, you give that clueless Riley a piece of your mind LOL!
Just finished
which was ok and
which was really really good. It took me a while to get into the story and follow the dialogue and I almost took it back to the library without listening to it. So glad that I didn't because I enjoyed it a lot.

Same feeling for me on both Tracy. Blood Red Road surprised me. Took me a bit to get used to the dialect and MC but once I did I ended up liking it a lot. And Crewel was just okay. It has an interesting premise but the execution of the story sort of fell flat by the end. Haven't read the second book for either of them yet. Not sure if I will though. I was okay with the ending of Blood Red Road :)

LOL I'm just thanking the reading gods that we don't have to wait very long to finally get their HEA!! =)
I say go for a good distracting PNR, they're always good for getting your mind off of an emotional read. Lots of steam and lots of crazy paranormal twists to keep your mind occupied!!
