"Sounds good. Well the idea. Not the food. But the food also." He shut his eyes in embarrassment.
"Come on. I'm starving." Chester smiled.
"Alright." He left his spot and headed to the cafeteria.

"Sure am," River muttered, "What about you?"
River chuckled darkly. "Well, I'm not exactly too thrilled to have been part of Dauntless, either."
River shook his head. "You should be smart enough to know that they're always watching. My cousin helped them install the audio recorders all over the place."
"Whatever their motives, I can't tell you anything important," River managed, wording his response carefully.
River nodded, struggling to find a way to tell Catron that his family had had to hide his little sister from the Dauntless leaders ever since she was born without also telling the security cameras.
He couldn't think of anything, so he instead asked, "Do you have any family?"
River smiled. "Of course."
"If 'fun' is synonymous to 'recklessness' in your dictionary, then yes, I suppose."
"Then, yes, we Dauntless have our moments."
River examined the headboard of his bed, then turned back to find that Catron was still watching him. "What, do you have a problem, now?"
"You know, before she died, my mother always told me that if I kept smirking like that, my face would get stuck that way. She proved her point by having my little sister cover my head in glue while I slept. It stayed that way for days..." River said thoughtfully.
River thought briefly about having to come up with hiding places for his sister with three seconds notice when he was twelve and the inspections began to come more frequently. After a while he replied, "Yes. I did, actually."
"Nope," River replied. He was never Candor, and would never have to be.
"Why on Earth would you care?" River asked, raising his own eyebrows.
"Well, what do you know, Mr. 'Ugh, I have to name you?' has a heart!" River joked, smirking himself, this time.
"Oh, yes, I remember; my memory has not quite reached that stage of deterioration; don't you worry." River suppressed the urge to call him "Kitty Catron."
"Nope, nope. I'm deciding on a teasing name. The two are very different things, you know."
"Ah, very good point, but I also have a rather extensive list of cats that I can bother you with. Take Grumpy Cat, for instance."
"Do you need me to photograph the scowl on your face, right now?" River inquired, arching an eyebrow.
"Not unless you want me to forever refer to you as 'Mr. Fluffykins,'" River responded.
"Nothing logical, so you obviously wouldn't understand my reasoning."
"My point, precisely," River explained, honestly having no idea what Catron was referring to. He was losing the train of the conversation.
"Lost what?" River laughed, phrasing his answer to further prove Catron's point.
"Pssh, I think I lost that as soon as my blood touched the water."
"Surely, having grown up in Erudite, you have deduced that I am merely trying to voice my thoughts in a more impressive, cryptic way."
"Never. Unless you count every single school day for ten and a half years."
Cleo walked in, she stood tall and straight as she tried to evaluate the dorms, and which beds were taken. She noticed it was empty other than two boys.
Brandon stood in the doorway of the dorms. It was an odd situation, but it worked. He was used to staying unnoticed.
Cleo stepped around the third guy im front of her and actually entered. She picked the closest bed to the door and flung her back down frowning.

"Now what exactly did you get on that IQ test?" River asked skeptically. He knew that he himself had gotten 146, the lowest passing score acceptable to Erudite.
"I see..." River scratched the invisible beard on his chin. "And you think that I am, to quote 'Great for this place'?"
