((( I'm making things so dramatic, it's cause I'm boooreed )))

Cleo smirked, "I don't think so, but maybe developing flabs is" she says pointing to his stomach laughing.

Benedict walked in, keeping close to the wall to try and avoid confrontation. It didn't help that he was nearly 6 feet tall, but at least he was no longer in his bright red amity shirt.

He quickly snagged a bed in the corner and perched on the edge, drumming his fingers against his leg anxiously. Slowly, he gazed around the room, analyzing the other initiates.

Cleo saw the new kid, and smirked. Finally, some fun. She felt awkward where she was in her corner, and her bed was too close to the new kid's. So she went and sat on River's instead.
Inhaling slowly, Benedict looked up adjusted his glasses. He suppressed his amity urge to strike up a conversation and settled for silence. Finally, he couldn't take it any more and said to no one in particular. "I'm Benedict. Benedict James." He immediately felt foolish.

"Okay, then, Benedict," River nodded to him absently, raising an eyebrow at Cleo.

Cleo glanced back at River, "I'm bored" she mouthed.
He knew he was being mocked. It was quite obvious actually. The slight raise in the eyebrow, the occasional 7 second pause between blinks and the ever so slight pull of her lip. Then he realized it was that exact sort of analysis that he was being mocked for.
"Nice to meet you. You, um, a transfer?" he asked, cringing at how awkward he sounded. Where was that amity chatter when he needed it?

"Cleo, you're not fooling anybody. You keep fluttering your fingers ever so slightly. I'd say it's subconscious and a reflex. You want to break free of rules. Dauntless isn't exactly an accepting faction, so you probably got reprimanded for being intelligent. You have high self confidence because you're looking me directly in the eye right now despite that I'm a total stranger. You're also right handed because your right shoulder is higher than your left. Shall I go on? Because I can."
He sat back, daring her to contradict him, but he knew it was all true. Like Sherlock Holmes said, "When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth."

"Oh, and I'm from Amity," he added, remembering her initial question.

"Actually" she started, "I'm not right handed, I might have been but not anymore" she replied choosing to be ambiguous.
"Amity" she murmured looking him over, "I can tell" she added.

He nodded at the girl who introduced herself as Bekah and then turned back to Cleo. "Most people don't realize how easy it is. The subconscious is a fascinating thing. It often tells you more than the messages you send out consciously. I read about it in a psychology book when I was 10. Did you know-?" He stopped instinctively. Amity never really understood his intelligent babble and by now their eyes were usually glazed over and he was left with nodding, smiling shells.
