There's also winter wear same way thin and firs like spandex yet keeps you as warm as a swear shirt without the bulk

I also had to google the dance :) it's hilarious!I haven't been reading much lately. I guess too much stuff happening around me (moving to a new place, German exam, work, etc). But I started Water for Elephants yesterday and it pulled me in right away! I really enjoy it :) Hopefully it will get me back into reading mood.
Nice list Mariab! And I also understood some of the writing too and the bits I didn't I just looked at the pictures instead!I started Water for Elephants last night for the group read.
Finished The Water Rat of Wanchai - a fun and entertaining time spent with the inimitable Ava Lee. My review here:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I'm reading Ready Player One for my Chunkster challenge. I started listening to the audio book read by Will Wheaton, but have been reading the print version for the last couple of chapters. Funny, even when I am not listening, I hear Will's voice in my head as I am reading now. I love that. (He is such a nerd, but I like him so much!)I am also reading Truth, which is the 2nd Peter Temple book for my AtW June read. It is not really a sequel, because it seems to take place before and after the first book. It is about Stephen Valliani instead of Joe Cashin.
I finished listening to the 2nd Charles Lenox book,The September Society, but I will have to wait awhile for the third story. It is not available in audio yet. I can't imagine reading it without hearing James Langton tell the story (especially when he talks about Lady Jane).

Dawn wrote: "That sucks, I'm waiting for my library to get #6 A Death in the Small Hours in on audiobook so I can continue with the series too..."So you have listened to the previous three in audio, Dawn?
I searched my library and the Free Phillidelphia Library both, and they do not have them available in Audio. Both of them only have #1 and #2.
Some begging and groveling at my library may be in-store if you tell me that they are out in audio already.
Yes, I've listened to first 5. And I'm pretty sure #6 is out there, my library just hasn't bought it yet. All read by James Langton too. :)

Heaven! Okay - begging and groveling will take place at the information desk, as soon as I get off of work tonight!
Reading my first Paul Theroux - The Elephanta Suite: Three Novellas to see what the fuss is all about. ;)
Well, beside trying to finish the books on my Mickey's list, I got notice from my library that a reservation was available. What reservation? Ah... The Light Between Oceans that I had requested for our group read last September. Better late than never. On the audio side, I seem to be listening my way through the Mary Russell series. The are really fun in audio.
Wow, almost a year later! I hope you'll enjoy it :)I just finished Discovery of Witches which I found a bit disappointing. I'll start a new book for the chunkster challenge tomorrow, but I don't know which one. Perhaps The Forgotten Garden. Or maybe Two Old Fools: Olé.

I am currently reading The Man in the High Castle, while at the same time watching about every documentaries about WWII with my son who developped a passion for geography, history and politic, and is really interested by wars (their causes and consequences especially)... by the way, he's 13! ;o)
Oh and listening to The Light in the Ruins, which takes place in part during WWII... is there a theme here? LOL
Marie Claude wrote: "...and is really interested by wars (their causes and consequences especially)..."I have the same interests. It is some fascinating stuff!! It's awesome he finds it interesting at such a young age!
Cherie wrote: "I'm reading Ready Player One for my Chunkster challenge. I started listening to the audio book read by Will Wheaton, but have been reading the print version for the last couple of c..."I read Ready Player One a while ago and really liked it. All the 1980s references, and what a concept, living in a game.
I finished Poison Study. While I enjoyed it (more than I thought I would), I don't think I'll continue the series.... unless it drops in my lap.I'll be starting The Almond Tree tonight.
Dawn wrote: "I hope the groveling goes well!!!"According to my librarian, only the first two books were available on audio in all of Oregon. She entered an inter-library loan for me for the next two books on CD. She did not say where they would come from, but at least I will get to listen to them - "in a few weeks".
She also answered a question I had regarding Overdrive. The availability of ebooks or audio books from Overdrive are not exactly the same as those from your local library although you use your library card to access the system. I only mentioned this because I have two libraries available to me on Overdrive and neither of them have more than the first two books available in Audio. Now, I have to figure out how to ask Overdrive to buy more books or buy more library cards. I am still 26 out of 26 to listen to Cress. Overdrive - in Oregon only bought 3 copies.
Suzanne wrote: "What do you think of Ready Player One, Cherie? It looks interesting!..."It is really good so far. I love all of the 80s references.

In all of Oregon??? That's awful!
Ready Player One has been on my wishlist for AGES! I look forward to seeing what you think Cherie and Travis. I WILL get to it eventually. Mention of 80s references has already got me intrigued and I may have to bump it up the list!
@ RPO - Oh it is soooo good Sarah! I did not want to stop listening, but it is early morning and I have an early meeting at work today.@Dawn - that's what I said!!
All this talk of overdrive and other services - I have OneClick Digital and the selection isn't amazing - loads of crime and thrillers and hardly any fantasy and sci fi. I just looked up the library audio service for where my parents live and they have LOADS of books that I would love to listen to. So I'm going to ask if I can borrow my Dad's card so that I can make use of their selection. Sneaky!
My library has switched over to OneClick too and I'm not that thrilled with the selection or the program frankly. But they still have Overdrive for the old digital collection so I get to use it for a little while yet!I've used my grandmothers card to get stuff from her library so I think using your Dad's card is a great idea! :)
I'm at the beach and just started Me Before You. Hope it's a fast read! I've got a few others to get to.
I started The Forgotten Garden. I only read 40 minutes on the train this morning, but so far I think it's going to be really good.
A few days ago I finished Water for Elephants for the Group read, which I really enjoyed! It was a quick read and a nice break from The Two Towers, which I had been reading for a while. But today I finally finished it! Now I can read the third part of The Lord of the Rings for the chunkster challenge. Or maybe take a break with another easy read first... I haven't made up my mind yet
I'm just going to leave this time sink here http://www.bookdepository.com/browse/...
You're welcome :)
Seriously?? Canada's is Gut and Psychology Syndrome: Natural Treatment for Autism, ADD/ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Depression, Schizophrenia I didn't think we were that messed up!!
lol I just boggle at some of them.I had to laugh that Aus' is Jamie's 30-Minute Meals and NZ's is Jamie's 15 Minute Meals. The Trans-Tasman rivalry continues, even in what book we buy the most!
There was a few I really liked,Greenland: One Thousand Beards: A Cultural History of Facial Hair
Ukraine: Flower Fairy's One Hundred Postcards
&
South Korea: Sing and Learn Spanish
Many countries have strange choices. I found it entertaining that the top-seller in Jordan was an SAT prep book.
While I wait for my next Charles Lenox books to be available on CD from my library, I decided to listen to The Baker Street Letters - which I finished yesterday. I started listening to The Brothers of Baker Street: A Mystery this morning. These are both narrated by Simon Vance. I am still listening to Ready Player One and reading Truth. I may rework my Mickey list to add the two Baker Street books to replace a chunkster that is languishing on my nightstand for now.
Pam wrote: "I'm at the beach and just started Me Before You. Hope it's a fast read! I've got a few others to get to."I started Me Before You too, Pam. It's going pretty fast. How's it with you?
