2) Words of Radiance - of course.
3) Assail - each of Esslemont's books has been better than the last.
4) Prince of Fools - think I am one of the few who will miss Jorg.
5) Shadow Throne - enjoyed the switch to muskets.
6) Tower Lord - looking forward to learning more of this world.
7) Doors of Stone - would be higher on the list if the wait hadn't been so long.
8) Thorn of Emberlain - little dissapointed by book 3 but still a great series.
9) Half a King - kind of scared to see what Abercrombie considers YA.
10) Crimson Campaign - 1st was enjoyable but didn't blow me away like some other debuts from 2013.
11) Firefight - 1st was a nice quick read with interesting world/characters.
All but Sanderson and Rothfuss were new authors for me that I read in 2013. Couldn't manage a top 5 too many good books on the list.

1. Skin Game (need this now!)
2. Half a King
3. Doors of Stone (I was disappointed with Wise Mans Fear but it says something about Rothfuss as a writer that I am still super-excited for this one)
4. The Rhesus Chart
5. The Waking Engine (I like to find someone I've never read before to be excited about and the concept of this one sounds really interesting).
I'm sure there are loads that I am missing and when others do their lists I will suddenly think "oh yeah that one too". Really hoping that The Unholy Consult makes it out this year but not holding my breath.

1. Words of Radiance (Stormlight Archive)
2. Doors of Stone (Kingkiller Chronicles)
These are two of my favorite series and I can't wait to read them. I'll be dropping whatever I'm currently reading when those two are released.

2. The Fool's Assassin-How could have anybody not mention this
3. The Broken Eye
4.The Thorn of Emberlain
5. Night of the Hunter- I'm going to read this book as something I have to do as Salvatore is my favorite author of all times, but I really did not enjoy the way he was going with his last book.
6.Words of Radiance-I will buy and read this book, even though I feel like I'm one of the only ones who did not enjoy the Way of Kings.
7.The High Druid's Blade-I'm going to be reading this even though I really don't enjoy his books.
8.The Magician's Land-I want to read this book even though I did not enjoy the first two books at all.
9.Dreams of Gods & Monsters

I have 12 other Hobb novels to read before I can read this.
Considering the sheer amount of books in the world why read anything you don't like?

I agree I aslo have 10 of Hobb's books to read I have only read the first 2 in the farseer trilogy.
Also I dont mind reading a second book in a series even though i didnt particularly liket he first book because sometimes author improves or he starts going in a different direction.

I usually drop it to the bottom of my tbr. I guess it also depends on how much I disliked it and what I disliked about it.

The Fool's Assassin is #1 most anticipated book for 2014. So looking forward to it. Planning to reread Farseer, Liveships, and Tawny Man to prepare. :)
I'm also looking forward to Words of Radiance, I liked the first book but thought it was a little too long, and The Broken Eye, I haven't read the 2nd book yet but The Black Prism is one of my favorite fantasy books.

If I would be expecting the book, I would have guess sometimes in early 2015 because the gap between the first and second books was about a four year difference.
