It's not like we are controlling Sarah J. Maas's decisions for what to include in Empire of Storms, she can do what she wants to do, but we are just stating our opinions on who we like and predictions about what's going to happen to these characters.

Rowan is a jerk in Heir of Fire, but I will say he gets nicer towards the end and is more friendly to Celeana in Queen of Shadows.

If you're on queen of shadows my advice is to really make it last. You can only read this series for the first time once.

Im late but definitely Dorian all the way, he understands Aelin and also carried her burden. Chaol on the other hand was never able to fully understand Aelin he even went as far to call her a monster for her being the way she is, plus Dorian's power with Aelins is infinite.

I was team Chaol since the beginning and I thought they were so perfect! Just the way Chaol helped her and how they trained together it had my heart throbbing. But when Rowan came along..
Lets just say he changed everything Rowan is just such a great guy! The support he provides for Celaena, It made me so emotional!! I wish Maas just introduced one of them because my heart in torn in two because of these two great characters!! (I know this was just between Dorian and Chaol but to be Dorian wasn't a very serious competitor for Celaena's heart. It's too basic for her to end up with the crown prince.)

Choal messed up when he didn't tell her about the threat on Nehamia's life, I would break up with him if i was her too. Rowan is just what she needs in a guy.

Just finished the first book and I found myself torn between the two of them. I was team Dorian at first and almost a little annoyed by Chaol and his whole character (Best friend who never gets the girl) but towards the end I was hoping for Chaol and Chalea more and more.

See here's the thing, the first book started off with her being super close to Chaol, and Dorian wasn't much of a main character, but then the roles shifted and Dorian became more of the main character and Chaol was sort of secondary. This sort of played with my mind and there was a time where I just wasn't able to choose and would've been happy either way. But I saw that Chaol and her had more of a chemistry even though Dorian and her were cute too.

Chaol. I think Celaena needs someone who can be more strict. Also, Dorian is not in a position where he and Celaena could have a solid relationship. He's a prince. First of all, the king would never allow it. Secondly, at this point in the story Celaena is nowhere close to being in a mental and emotional position that would be needed to pursue a solid relationship with Dorian (though I do not think she will ever have stability emotionally, so either relationship might not workout).
