Team Chaol or Team Dorian! Comment plz!

Hmm...I would maaaayyyybbbbeeee agree with that if Celaena was the perfect girl, but she's the furthest thing from it...she's vain, volatile, aggressive, stubborn (just to name a few) - she needs someone grounded and level-headed who understands her and has the patience to deal with all her moods....Dorian is definitely not that person - re-read the opening chapter of CoM if you think they belong together - Dorian could barely stand to look at her when she brought in that guy's head

Meanwhile, only a couple of weeks til HoF - can't wait!!!

Dorian. He's the scholarly type as well as a warrior. I love that about him and I think Celaena does too. I think he is that person that keeps her grounded when she goes crazy and Chaol is an awesome friend but doesn't really understand enough about her to help her through her darkest moments.

Chaol is the only one Celaena has trusted with her secret - she didn't even tell Sam - surely that tells you where her heart lies? And despite what happens in the second half of CoM, by the end Celaena regrets how she treated Chaol

Sorry to disappoint all the team Ds, but that little fling in book one was just that, a little fling - most likely a plot device to build the tension for the Celaena/Chaol ship....given she told him to go jump and then nothing happened between them for an entire novel I'm guessing that's all done and dusted

Soooo the real question we should be asking is whether Celaena and Chaol will hold up for the next four books or whether a new guy will be introduced?

Also I still reckon Celaena and Dorian will end up being related...it's what I would do lol

I only read the first book (still have to read sequels) and based off that I am rooting for Chaol. Overall I think he's just better for her... but I will say this, I much preferred the flirtatious banter between her and the prince Dorian. That said, if you liked this series you may like The Black Mage: First Year. The main character Ryiah has a love-hate relationship with a hot-yet-arrogant prince (Darren) that kind of reminds me of Dorian and Calaena's relationship.

Hi Anum...they're not necessarily similar to Throne of Glass, but some other fantasy series that I've really enjoyed are and

There is also a book coming out soon: being marketed as 'for Throne of Glass fans'

I agree w/Ash on Shadow & Bone (haven't read others she mentioned but will give them a try), also The Black Mage: First Year (fighting school w/magic and a really hot prince like Dorian), and Shatter Me series (not medieval or related to Throne of Glass but trust me on this one)

But Dorian is just so cute he's like a puppy! He loves Caelena and wants to be a better man for her and he has MAGIC just like she does so they're also similar!
