I think that Dorian is just a self absorbed prince, at least Choal could see more than just her pretty face!

I am not a huge fan of Dorian. I never was. He reminds me too much of Romeo -- the playboy, the boy who never settles. I feel like both eventually would move on once they found someone that was pretty or more alluring. I just am not sure he really thinks of Celaena as more than a prize or a short infatuation. It never seemed real with him.
I like Chaol. . . . I used to ship him with Celaena. They were cute together. What I liked about them the most was the contrast. I liked his loyalty, even though some was misplaced, and I liked how he and Celaena didn't instantly click. I liked the build-up. However, after the events of Crown of Midnight, I am not sure if I can still ship him and Celaena.
I liked Sam at first, but I liked him when he was competing more with Celaena. After a while, he just seemed sort of needy, and I was not a huge fan of him.
I could definitely see Maas adding another love interest. Also, can anyone see Chaol trying to atone or something? Also, did anyone else find the twist that Celaena was the Queen of Terrasen a little obvious?

I love you, girls.
Okay, let me explain : I like Chaol. I don't hate him, he is a nice guy, loyal, and always serious. But that's the problem, he is too much realistic and boring - Yes, I said it. Dorian, on the contrary, makes me laugh and he fits with a behavior of a young man with mistakes and doubts. I think Alina goes with Chaol because like Nehemia said, she doesn't want to be engaged in a complicated relationship - If I remember, remind me if I'm wrong. Which means, that Celaena shoose Chaol because he was the easy one, he makes her life less heavy with his simplicity. But, now, that Dorian has magic and Celaena is a princess, she seems to take over her responsabilities and that changes everything !
[Other point I just thought about, like, Rachel, said he is not willing to do everything for her. He reminds me the charater of Nash in the Soul Screamers.]
I'm not saying, that she will end up with Dorian - at least not yet, maybe in the 5th book - but that others suitors are probable.
PS : Am I the only one who think that it's not AT ALL a coïncidence that Celeana can see the former queen and Dorian can see the King ? It's abvious, they share a deep connection aside feelings.

I can't agree more! He doesn't deserve Celeana.

I hope they get their happily ever after ... or something similar

I think moving forward Dorian and Celaena will have more of a brother/sister relationship....and, considering Dorian has magic and doesn't look like his father or brother I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out he and Celaena were related somehow.
Also, I think there will be a new love interest introduced when Celaena goes to the Fae court - not sure why, I think that, just an inkling
thank you!!! YESSSS!!!!!! Chaol and Calaena!!

Sam is adorable! So cute and if i had read the Assassin's Blade first I'm sure that's where my loyalties would lie.
But Dorian!!! Omg I love him! I was reading an heir of fire review on goodreads and *SPOILER ALERT* apparently he moves on! Noooooo! *hand on heart* It'll never last! I have faith, Team Dorian until the end!
Is anyone else envisioning Will Herondale when they think of Dorian?! <3
