Usako (bbmeltdown) How Far We've Come - Matchbox 20

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Winks are always a welcome clue to let me know that something humorous is going on. Often things fly right over my head. (I'm rather short, you know.)

message 304: by Heidi (last edited Jul 29, 2009 01:33PM) (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments Tanja, the squeeing rule is you aren't supposed to actually SQUEE; it's supposed to be implied.

message 305: by Sally, la reina (new)

Sally (mrsnolte) | 17373 comments Mod
Plus, no Matchbox 83 or whatever song is going to make anyone Squee if they are truly squeeeing. So simmer.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments I'm listening to the ladies today:

"Rehab" - Amy Winehouse
"I'm No Good" - Amy Winehouse
"Tell Me 'Bout It" - Joss Stone
"Poker Face" - Lady Gaga
"Mercy" - Duffy
"Funnel of Love" - Wanda Jackson
"Respect" - Aretha Franklin
"Whatever Lola Wants" - Sarah Vaughan

message 313: by Chloe (new)

Chloe (countessofblooms) | 347 comments 1. Yeah Yeah Yeahs- "Gold Lion (Acoustic)" (from iTunes Live Session EP)
2. Pole- "Heim (Four Tet Remix)" (from Remixes)
3. Laura Marling- "Ghosts" (from Alas, I Cannot Swim)
4. Dan Auerbach- "Mean Monsoon" (from Keep It Hid)
5. Sufjan Stevens- "A Short Reprise for Mary Todd, Who Went Insane, But For Very Good Reasons" (from Come On Feel The Illinoise)

Apparently my ipod is in the mood for some acoustic tunes. Fits my mood well enough, I'll let it ride...

message 314: by Wingedbeaver (last edited Jul 30, 2009 01:11PM) (new)

Wingedbeaver | 80 comments my newest favorites are...
1)Airborne Toxic Event- self-titled
2)The Raconteurs- Consolers Of The Lonely
3)Paolo Nutini- Sunny Side Up
4)Cage The Elephant- self-titled
5)Ben Kweller- Changing Horses

message 315: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 13814 comments I can't believe I missed discussion of Elvis Costello AND the 'Mats. RA, I'm a jealous girl.
Next five on the iPod:
1)Russian Songs Medly- Django Reinhardt
2)Edge of the World - Josh Ritter
3)Knock On Wood (Live) - David Bowie
4)Fraggle Rock theme song
5)That Teenage Feeling - Neko Case

Apparently my iPod has gotten over its fixation with songs from Iggy Pop's "The Idiot"; that was all it would suggest on my drive this week, practically every other song.

message 316: by Chloe (new)

Chloe (countessofblooms) | 347 comments That's not a bad album for an ipod to be obsessed with in any way, Sarah Pi. "Sister Midnight" would definitely be in my "top songs of all time" list, should I ever create said list.

message 317: by Heather (new)

Heather (heatherjoy) | 384 comments I saw Paolo Nutini in concert last night. He is rather impressive live.

I love this song for lots of reasons but the most recent one is that I discovered it makes my 2-year-old stop crying and tap her feet no matter what!
