When I walked into Dearborn Music at the tender age of 12 to buy this - shortly after it came out - I was actually shaking because I knew my life was about to be changed and I wasn't sure I wanted my life to be changed.
So much for prescience...

That three-album run of "Kimono My House" through "Indiscreet" was really something.
Might I also recommend the work of Martin Gordon, bassist and arranger of most of "Kimono"?

Another keeper, in particular "Moustache."
But that toddling in your cloth diapers remark is a dagger straight to the heart of the 16-year-old that still beats within me somewhere. I had tickets to see them @ the Michigan Palace in 1975 - opening for an Ian Hunter-less Mott the Hoople (then known simply as "Mott"), but it was cancelled due to anemic ticket sales. Did catch them at Clutch Cargo's touring behind "Angst," though. Christ, was it hot in there!

Next time, don't stay away so long.
Fuggin' Sammy Hagar and Gary Cherone. What were they thinking?

Cover art for the visually impaired:

There have been scads of Farfisa-driven wonders over the years, but you’d be hard pressed to name many from Sweden. That’s where Dee Rangers come in. Electric like neon, smoked like salmon, this is loud, fuzzy, dirty, unrepentant and burned-around-the-edges rock ‘n’ roll.
While not quite the peanut butter on Iggy’s chest, the spike in Keef’s arm, or the warts on Lemmy’s forehead, this shit nonetheless swings like Godzilla's balls in a tsunami. I'll take it.

A big ol' sack of mix CD's one of my friends mailed to me:
Prima Donna
The Biters
Poison Arrows
The Breakdowns
The Van Buren Boys
The Booze
The Meows
Diamond Dogs
Gentleman Jesse
Crusaders of Love
Barreracudas
Boulevard Beat
Mother's Children
Devin
Nude Beach
Bare Wires
Reigning Sound
The Ex-Gentlemen
Budokan
Watts
Zachary James & the All Seeing Eyes
Thank Christ... I needed something new to listen to. You can only listen to "The Idiot" so many times before flashbacks of Iggy dancing like a spastic chimp on the “Dinah Shore Show” haunt your every waking moment.
