Just completed my 2nd selection - Damaged by Pamela Callow. Decent mystery but way too drawn out! Character angst could have been cut down; it didn't make me like them, it made me want to scream at them to get over it. Don't think I will continue with the series 3 stars

Just finished my third selection - Rider by Mark Rudman. I typically do not read poetry for fun, but this book was randomly assigned to me, so I went along. Parts of it were enjoyable, and I truly appreciated the poet's changes in syntax and prose throughout the book. However, the poetry concepts were lost on me. Overall, glad I read it. 3 stars

I finished my first random book out of ten.

The randomization wasn't a lucky one, I end up being uninterested and bored with it. I need to admit, I end up skimming through most of it instead of reading it. I think a summary of his idea would have been enough for me. I added it to my TBR at first because I couldn't remember anything about him from philosophy class, actually I didn't remember seeing him at all. Either we haven't or I was bored with him at the time too and end up forgetting him.
