Yeah I loooove writing. I like writing darker things. I'm actually sending my current WIP to some beta readers right now. It's a paranormal "romance"--using it loosely. I have another one that I want to say will lean more towards the Gothic side. I've only just drafted a very rough outline, so I'm still seeing where it can go.

I can't write short stories, but I am trying to learn. I've dabble in poetry in my creative writing classes (who hasn't?), and I actually want to use some in my current WIP to divide into 3 parts. Shall see how it turns out.

that sounds so hard to write! Like with my stuff I know the pains and things I want to happen, but with rom-com... I would have no idea how to start or how to make it comedic.

Thank you for the warm welcome. There are a lot of different styles of writing on here. I love it!!! I write Romance/Women's literature. I'd like to try my hand at Historical fiction and mystery, but thrillers scare me so I stay far from writing and reading those type of books….I am a wimp!

I think historical anything would require a lot if research. Maybe that is why I steer away hahaha. If we create our own worlds, no one can tell us that's not how it is suppose to be. :p

That is so true!!!! Love creating my own world considering sometimes I feel like I live in my own world, but I love history too!!! I think you need a love for history to want to recreate it.

Hmm you're right. I do like some eras and would love to some day write historical material. I suppose also if you read the genre a lot it becomes easier.

Been writing for several years now - just started my seventh novel. I write epic fantasy and have recently decided to share my work with the world. Tried fictionpress, then authonomy, and finally decided to go the Amazon/Createspace route. Just started on Goodreads and mostly interested in chatting about fantasy, characters, world building etc. etc.
