I'm Aleks. I'm a Psychologist and self-development author from sunny Sydney Australia. I've been looking for an interesting writer's group to join in order to learn and share what I know and connect to like-minded people.
I have a new book coming out in 3-4 weeks where I interviewed best-selling business and self-improvement entrepreneurs and will offer a synopsis of it next time I post if that is acceptable to the group. I'll be happy to offer a review copy to those who may be interested.
Other than that, I hope everyone is well and I look forward to contributing where I can :)
Hi, Aleks! It's great to have you here!
Congratulations on your book!
We have a folder for advertisements, where you can open a thread and post the synopsis.

I'm Alexis. Haven't written any books yet. Never really thought I'd be able to commit to that large a project. Mostly I've done nonfiction articles and some copywriting for the web. But I'm thinking of going back to fiction and poetry that I used to do a lot more when I was younger.
Planning to quit the day job to focus on writing more soon hopefully. Plus trying to get more involved in the literary world. I'm probably totally wasting the opportunity being in NYC.

I totally get where you are coming from. I thought about quitting my day job for a long time and finally I am doing it very soon to concentrate on writing.
Good Luck!

Hey Susan, it's great to have you here! Good luck with your books! What are your first two novels about?

Welcome, Alexis! Good luck on your writings :) Is there any specific genre you write in?

Aw, I know how you feel! Sometimes the ending that fits the story is not the ending we wish for our characters. I hope that as you write it, the story will change enough for a HEA to be possible for your MCs and I wish you the best of luck with your novel!

I have one that is tradition HEA romance. On the light side. I released that last week.

It is the first in a series I call the Half Shell Series. It's about messed up rich girls in the 80s & 90s. Eventually HEA...though I don't think quite the way anyone will expect it.

What is it about?
What is it about?

I really admire people who can plan. I hibernate(i.e. lay in the sun) and then I sit up and I have a story and I power write until its done.

Sofia, it's looking like it's going to be a mystery/suspense novel about a stalker. Haven't gotten too much past that because of my above mentioned excuses.

Laughing...oh I did have teachers and professors try to teach me discipline. Didn't work. I still can only write a story if I start with the first page, then write the ending, then go to the middle. And I cant put a darn thing on the paper in outline from.

I've got 2 chick lits out now and I'm releasing a historical series in September. What are you working on.

Hi, my first one is 'The Whirlwind Report' - in the Kindle store under J.U. Flint. I'm working on the sequel at the moment. I love historical fiction, but don't write any - too much like my day job!

Hi Susan - will check this out!

Hi again - will check this one out too!

Hi Sarah. Good luck with the books - see you're a romance fiend like me!

I certainly do love romance! Big old sap right here!!!

Thank you Sofia!!!! :)

I'm really looking forward to interacting with you all :)

I am happy to read and review books for authors.
I am also available for proofreading etc and happy to discuss - but pm me cos this is just a hello :)
I like thrillers, murder/mystery etc, crime/forensics, happy with the gruesome stuff. Also a touch of romance, happy to read the saucy stuff, paranormal, some fantasy, creepy... horror. Oddly, I enjoy reading cookbooks too.
Hello.

I like doing all sorts of unpopular things, like writing in first person present tense. I'm working on my first trilogy (book 1 is published), and I still feel really newb! None of my IRL friends write novels. Heck, they don't even read novels (I live in LA). I want to meet some like minded friends who are crazy about writing great books.
Hi everyone! I'm a thirteen year old girl from Dauntless(I wish) and would like to become a better writer and have people review my books and fa fiction. Um, how do I start?

In the Waikato writing a trilogy plus the rest - poetry, non-fiction articles etc.
Favourite author Charles Dickens.
Favourite book Neurotribes Steven Silberman.
