I am currently reading two books!! The first is Soldier Dogs by Maria Goodavage which is amazing and very informative! The second book is Zoo Story: Life in the Garden of Captives by Thomas French, which is proving very difficult for me to get into.

I'm reading Crime and Punishment. I'm about halfway through so it's just a race to the end so I get on to my next classic!
I am half way through My Family & Other Animals. Just started The Metamorphosis as its very short I shall finish in one sitting. Also Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban coz i need some comfort reading
I'm still reading A Wizard of Earthsea which I'm really hoping to finish today because I've not been enjoying it nearly as much as I had hoped! I'm itching to move on to books I started reading in the meantime...
Holly wrote: "I've been meaning to read some Le Guin. Why don't you like it so much?"Well, I'm reading it in Polish as part of my resolution to read more in my native language, so it may be that the translation isn't great (though it is a classic edition and I would assume that this being the case, the translation would be quite close to the original!) - I'm not enjoying the way it is written, but also, for my liking, the plot is not in-depth enough. Then again, I think it's written with younger readers in mind, so perhaps I just got round to reading it too late?
It's worth trying - it's short, so won't take a long time to read if you don't like it anyway, but for me it's just completely not what I expected it to be after hearing so many good opinions about it. But if you end up liking it, you'll have the whole series to read, which is always a bonus! ;)
Trying to finish Confession of a Justified Sinner today. Picked it up on a whim at the library and it's rather interesting, the writing is lovely . It's taken me a while to get into it though...
Still in the midst of:
Kiss of Darkness which is my number two read (sometimes only read just before going to sleep) so it is taking a little longer to read.
Meanwhile for my number one read I started (a reread) of The Death of Sleep
I started reading The Woman Destroyed by Simone de Beauvoir. In my edition are three stories and till now I have read only The Woman Destroyed. It is wonderful! Above all if you are a woman, if you have more than 40 years, if suddenly you find out that your husband has a lover and you must call into question all your life, your marriage and yourself.
Now I'm curious to read also the other two stories, always about women.
Got two currently reading:The Death of Sleep
and
The Crimson Spell (Charmed 3)
I've read 1 book of my 2014 challenge (I started it in 2013 so its a crossover book) Kiss of Darkness (Charmed 2)
I'm reading "The Cuckoo's Calling" by "Robert Galbraith" I'm enjoying it so far but I just love to read!
I am currently reading 3 books and feeling like I need to finish something. I am reading "Little Women" and "The Filly Salt Sisters". But yesterday was the release date for "Unhindged" and I have been waiting for this book to be released since last spring. I just couldn't wait to started. Wish I could just stay home and read all day!

Wow, it's like a conspiracy... auto correct won't let you say that you hate auto correct!

Its terrible! lol
Thought I'd kickstart Jan off with The White Queen for our genre challenge. Really enjoying it so far, and I completely forgot how much I love historical fiction!
Up after that will probably be a shorter one (Looking into doing Jamaica Inn or Doctor Faustus), before starting Catch-22!

Hey allI've finished my first of the year, and moved onto Ludmilla's Broken English, by DBC Pierre. I loved his first and this one is as rich and chewy as that, though even more bizarre! Great stuff so far :)
Emad wrote: "I definitely will, Fatima:)It's really amazing. Can't wait to finish it.
Wish me luck:)"
HI Emad
A friend keeps bugging me to read that one, glad you're enjoying it. I've just finished Will Grayson, Will Grayson, which is fantastic :)
I'm currently on Book 4 of Paradise Lost, and have just started Alias Grace. For once, I'm actually book juggling!"Hi Holly.
Book juggling is an art, and every now and then it works for me, but normally i have to focus just on one. I loved Alias Grace, one of her best, hope you're enjoying it. :)

Still not sure which one to read though :)
I am reading The Sister Queens and I've been reading other books that are not in the genre of the month. I have all these ebooks on hold through the library, so when they are available, I stop whatever I'm reason to read the library book. So I've only completed two historical fiction books this month but I've read five books so far! Not bad.
Not all of your books have to be based on the genre, don't worry! I'm planning on only doing one or two a month for the genre challenge! It' up to you! 5 books is amazing so far!
After enjoying the time period of The White Queen so much, I've decided to stick with the period and read Shakespeare's Richard III. It counts towards the genre challenge, and it ticks off another Shakespeare!

read some graphic novels yesterday that were pretty good and will get back to seeking the storyteller after some other reads.
Amber, that's great! I am one book behind you now, nearly done with the Sister Queens and enjoying it.
Thanks Tara! and that's great as well. What are you going to read next tara? I'm planning on going back to the overdrive ebooks library tonight to get my next read from my tbr list.
I have quite a few ebooks checked out with the library so I will probably read those now. I am debating between starting Game of Thrones or reading The Unquiet.
Currently reading A Pizza To Die For by chris cavender part 3 of the pizza lover's mystery series. It's pretty good too. I started with book 2 last year and it hooked me to the series. Plus pizza is my fave food anyway.
Going to start on A Dozen Black Rosesby Nancy A. Collins tonight. I own the book and this will be the second Sonja blue novel I've read since sunglasses after dark. :-)

Ah, I love Hitchhikers. Probably the funniest (and most random) book I've ever read!

"Finally" is right. :P
I laughed hysterically through the vast majority of that book. And then listened to the audio book narrated by Stephen Fry and laughed even HARDER. :D

Ha! Hey, I'm slow. What do you want?
K.L. wrote: "Ha! Hey, I'm slow. What do you want?"
Speed!! Chop chop! You still have the rest of the Hitchhiker's series AND all of Dune to get through.

I've just started reading Sophie Kinsella "Wedding Night" this morning. I'm enjoying the reading challenge so far and its helping me get back into my reading. I have always been obsessed with books and used to read 6 books a week as a teenager. Since having children my reading time has drastically gone down. I'm making time to read now though as I have really missed it.
