Casey, I internet-high-five you. I don't know how you've gotten so far. I think I just need to break through the middle bit of A Clash of Kings to get back into them again.

Yay Poe! Some of his stories are meh, but they're greatly outnumbered by the ones that are awesome.

I'm reading The Outsiders. I'd seen the movie and enjoyed it, but I'd never read it. It's excellent!
I finished The Outsiders last night, which was awesome, and now I've started Haroun and the Sea of Stories, which my brother loaned to me because it's his favourite book ever. It's really captivating so far.

Alias Grace is fantastic, would be interested to hear what you think of it when you're done!

how do you like this? I've heard nothing but poor comments on this one from friends and family.

I read it last year and I loved it. I think Harry Potter fans expect her to write a certain kind of story and they are just disappointed that she didn't do that.

Where'd you go Bernadette was a cute read, definitely not what I expected. The ending is good.

I'm also re-reading Hitchhicker's Guide to the Galaxy.
Both will be finished by the end of the year.

I really want to re-read The Book Thief! It's just too good!
I'm half way through Foundation, the first book in Asimov's The Foundation Trilogy. Very interesting so far, although I must admit I enjoy Orson Scott Card's Ender's Game series more. Although, they are remarkably different. Can't wait to get through the next two books in the series. I love combined editions!

The Cuckoo's Calling is a fine read.....though don't expect it to be better than the author's other work - HP:)

I sadly wasn't that impressed by Cuckoo....nothing compared to HP, of course, but it wasn't what you expect from JK Rowling...disappointed me.

The Bhagavad Gita - this version I am reading is very interesting as it takes a linguistic approach to the Gita.
The Casual Vacancy - still too early for me to say anything about this book. Hope it's a good one, though
To Kill a Mockingbird - true classic. One should reread really good books every so often
Some people find it weird that I read 2-3 books at the same time. But surely I'm not the only one out there who does this. :)

Not at all, I do it all the time!

YES! That's what I tell people, too.
