I know The Curious Case of Benjamin Button has been..."
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is very well written, as are all Fitzgerald's books. i would highly recommend it.

In my Junior year of high school I had an English teacher who recommended re-reading books every 5-10 years. I think he was talking mostly about the classics. I think we were reading Kurt Vonnegut - Slaughterhouse-Five at the time.
That's great advice, Kirk. Pride and Prejudice was a completely different book at 30 than at 17.

It has been over 30 years since I've read LotR trilogy (I read it as the trilogy). I was 12 or 13 and really into Dungeons and Dragons around the late 70s early 80s.

Roller-Coaster challenge widget currently 1 book behind (13/20)

This thread has just disappeared!
In an effort to get my widget up, I'm reading the short novella 'The Castle of Otranto' because it also fits with the genre of the month!

This one has been long pending on my to read list!
There are too many books that have been on my to-read list for too long!
I'd love to know what you think of it though. I've heard it garners a lot of different reactions.

That can be troublesome. I've found myself being disappointed with some books after all the hype they've received. But then again, the hype can lead to books you'd never think of reading, and loving them. It is definitely a two edged sword!

I have successfully moved past that chapter now, and I'm reading about the first gay activists pre-Stonewall.

Maurice. :D It's so short, you can move right onto Dracula!

After this one my Charmed collection skips some of the books (for instance I am missing #12 have 13 and 14 but not 15 and so on). I still need to get about 14 more to complete the series. Fortunately it is a series that can be read in any order. They seem to loosely fit chronologically but do not rely on each other for story arcs.
