Idk about the worst ship. Maybe Bella and Captain Sparkles.
The Last Airbender was, by far, worse.

Deaths coming torture mastrer-if you want someone torture he wil I just thought that what if the last airbender and twilight were combined "ahhhhhhhhhhhh the horror" sorry about that image

message 2754: by [deleted user] (new)

OMG the mental image you gave me is horrible, ugh if they combined them I would personally hunt the people down and murder them with my bare hands.

Deaths coming torture mastrer-if you want someone torture he wil Mines Aladdin

message 2759: by [deleted user] (new)

Ehh not really into Disney but if I had to choose, I'd pick Frozen because it's the first Disney movie that teaches that true love doesn't have to be between a guy and a girl but it can be between two siblings. Also it wasn't romance filled like all the others.

That's a rude comment to make as people have their own wishes. You might have your own opinions and will do away with the series but we don't need to know that. Besides Rick Riordan has hooked us more with this "plot twist".

message 2770: by Deaths coming (new)

Kevin Deaths coming wrote: "you are correct that i am a boy and i can see why you didn't like earragon"

Because eragon is bad.
I now remember why I didn't like Ranger Apprentice, that same lack of magic. If I wanted history I would read history books.

Kevin Sheehan wrote: " Besides Rick Riordan has hooked us more with this "plot twist". ..."

No he hasn't, reading this series has become a chore. I'm just waiting for it to end so I can wash my hands of it, and if somewhere down the road decides to reboot/continue the series I will just ignore it. There is a limit to simplistic childish writing a person can take.

message 2777: by Isreal (new) - rated it 5 stars

Isreal Okeowo hit me like a wave i have nothing against being gay but wow a little warning would have been nice but that only make nico more mysterious i want to know a lot about him now before i didn't pay much attention to him alto i didn't dismiss him right out i just didn't value him that high now wow just wow

message 2778: by [deleted user] (new)

I feel like many people are misunderstanding shock with random. It was so shocking people felt like it was random but it wasn't there were hints earlier in the books.
Also, who cares if the wiring is simplistic? When I read, I read for character development, for a good plot line, and other. I mean, yeah, the writing for PJO is simplistic but that's because it was a children's book. I think the writing for HoO became more mature. The way the books are written now is fine to me. Maybe you don't like it because you're older..?

message 2779: by Kevin (last edited Feb 19, 2014 02:21PM) (new) - rated it 4 stars

Kevin I liked the first HoO book maybe the second... it fell off after that and then just became annoying... If I was honest I would rate HoH a 2. I can't remember which book it was but after reading it I said I would not touch the series again.... Then it was such a long time between releases that I forgot...

Since it's just one more book remaining, I will read it... then I'm done. As I said before will get book one of the norse series to see what it's about if it's HoO material I will drop it.

I HATE THIS TABLET FORCING ME TO EDIT MY POST BECAUSE IT ACCIDENTAL THE BUTTON.

message 2780: by [deleted user] (new)

Why do you think it "fell off and became annoying"? The books are just getting better and better to me.

message 2781: by Deaths coming (new)

Deaths coming torture mastrer-if you want someone torture he wil I agree with avalon mabe it is because you are getting older because his writting stlye has just been getting better ( eragon and rangers aprentice are not bad I love them both your opinion is your opinion rangers appentice is a well known and loved series if you didn't like it your popblem but dn't say some hings bad without evidence

message 2782: by [deleted user] (new)

Nope Eragon is a boring book. I didn't really like it. ^^

message 2785: by Blogger (new) - rated it 5 stars

Blogger Girl Mulan is far the best Disney movie. Next is THE LION KING!!! I hated the first book in the Heroes of Olympus book. The second and fourth are my favorites

message 2786: by [deleted user] (new)

I loved the first book. I think the second book was the least best so far. I don't know why but maybe it was so Roman-ish and I missed the Greeks. My favorite is the third book because everyone finally met up and there was so much action. Okay okay here's my list. It goes from best to least best (I'm not going to use the word worst because it wasn't bad. It's just least best.)
1) Mark of Athena
2) House of Hades
3) The Lost Hero
4) The Son of Neptune

message 2787: by Kevin (new) - rated it 4 stars

Kevin Deaths coming wrote: " but dn't say some hings bad without evidence .."

As you said, the books getting better is just that, your opinion. Also I don't need evidence to say eragon is bad lol and Ranger Apprentice being we'll known and well loved by you doesn't mean it's well loved by everyone.

The same thing would apply to you and twilight, millions of people like that book... you can't hate on them without evidence.

message 2788: by Deaths coming (new)

Deaths coming torture mastrer-if you want someone torture he wil true kevan but unlike trylight their are nobody who hates it and in my opinion is really good I understand that you don't like it but to me you seem to insult the book which i don't like. maybe tell me what you didlike about the book

Kevin Deaths coming wrote: "true kevan but unlike trylight their are nobody who hates it..."

Are we talking about Ranger's Apprentice or Eragon? Just go on their respective Goodreads pages and look for the one star reviews to get your proof.

Deaths coming wrote: "I understand that you don't like it but to me you seem to insult the book which i don't like..."

If you really did read all 60 pages as you claimed you would see I have a dislike for dragon books also... how did i come across as insulting your book? and even if I did... it's a book. That right there, is one of the reasons this thread is so long; people feel that those who don't jump for Nico is insulting their fav book and author EVA!!11!!

We are individuals not a hive-mind, you liking something doesn't mean the world has to like it or die(if that is what you want you are going into North Korea territory there).

message 2793: by [deleted user] (new)

Agree with Kevin there ^^ I'm pretty sure that not EVERYBODY will like something. There will always be people who don't like something and for good reasons too. Eragon did suck in my opinion. Also, when did he come across as hating on the series?

message 2794: by Kevin (new) - rated it 4 stars

Kevin @avalon Maybe it was when I said the book was bad... which seeing as I read part of the book years ago(and saw the movie) allows me to state so without fear of attack.

It's my opinion, I didn't like it.

It's like Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever, I read that book.... absolutely disgusting and horrible, the protagonist just whining about his leprosy all the time. I will never get back the days I spent reading that filth.

I rated it a 1(wanted to give it -10 but you can't here), if you go to it's Goodread's page you will see people rating this book 5 stars which boggles my mind but... maybe nostalgia? They read the book when really young and it left an imprint on them, or they for some reason(maybe they are prose junkies) liked the writing I don't know, I just know I didn't like it.

Me and the board who recommend that book get into arguments all the time when I see them recommending it to other people.. i think they trolled me into reading it.

message 2795: by Deaths coming (new)

Deaths coming torture mastrer-if you want someone torture he wil I didn't mean that I said it is fine for an opinion it (sometimes when people say something's bad on the internet and don't add my opinion it makes me think you are insulting the book and to a higher degree my intelligence it just seemed you were saying something's bad without reason )
Ps I did read all 60 pages but you can't expect me to remember every post. As well I some times skipped the longer ones(rarely)

message 2796: by Deaths coming (new)

Deaths coming torture mastrer-if you want someone torture he wil Although I understand when people love a book but you thinks it horrible
(Like Harry potter with me I just never understood why it became popular it an okay book but certainly not brilliant in my opinion) nostalgia I think helps a lot when it comes to chosing a book.

message 2797: by Deaths coming (new)

Deaths coming torture mastrer-if you want someone torture he wil So what time is it over their?

Emma Belle I have to agree with Kevin. Why couldn`t RR have just made an epilogue or whatever? Having a whole follow-up series is pushing it. I don`t know about you guys but once I got to book 4 of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series I was already getting tired of it. I can`t take ten 350 paged books worth of Greek Mythology with a twist!
-----------
I love that song! I remember when I watched that movie that it was my fav song in their:)

message 2799: by [deleted user] (new)

Uh first of all I don't think Rick made a follow up series as an "epilogue" for the PJO series. He made it because he wanted to introduce Roman mythology and because he felt like taking the old characters and bringing new ones. I'm not really sure about that or why exactly he made a follow up series but I am PRETTY sure that Rick wouldn't have made a follow up series as an epilogue. Asking why he made a follow up series is like asking why he made the PJO series. Because he wants to.
Also, Rick is NOT going to make an epilogue. He said it already. He doesn't like to close stories off because he wants to leave it up to the readers imagination. If he's not going to make an epilogue, then I want the Blood of Olympus to be a REALLY fat. It should be big anyways, how is he going to fit so many problems? I hope he doesn't leave plot holes :(

Emma Belle All I`m saying is that its starting to get a little old. I already have to do some Greek Mythology for school and thats still fictional and only one book of 200 pages. This is the same thing except A LITTLE less juvenile and its 10 books that are 350 each!
The first series was exciting, The Mark of Athena and the Lost Hero were some-what enjoyable, The Son of Neptune was absolutely boring and this was ok.
He should have done an epilogue and if he insisted on leaving things open for the imagination than he should have left a few questions open in the epilogue. People(including myself) are just getting tired of it continuing on and they aren`t getting any better. In my expert opinion, I think that a couple of them have gotten a lot worse.
