Hi AllI'm Sam, I read a wide range of books depending on my mood. I also listen to audiobooks although mainly do this whilst at work. I look after a friends baby 4 days a week and have also begun the process to become a foster carer so my challenge to read 100 books this year may become more difficult!
Welcome to the group all new members! We're so happy to have you and hope you enjoy our challenges and discussions. Feel free to ask us any questions you might have :]
Hi! My name is Kim, I'm 43 years old and new to your group. For me, my reading this year will include more Faulkner and I'd like to tackle some Dostoyevsky. However, I am also interested other genres such as mystery/ suspense, Christian/ inspirational, non-fiction and like I mentioned-the classics. My passions include my husband, my church, my family, my animals, and singing chamber music.
Admittedly, I'm not well versed in poetry, after a lengthy study of the poem Song of Myself by Walt Whitman, I found it to be one of the most interesting ( and perplexing) things I've ever read.
As I am recovering from surgery, I will post as I can. Look forward to participating when possible.
Hi KristiI am so glad you are in remission! I hope and pray you stay that way! Welcome back to reading! I like you have read all my life and wouldn't know what to do with myself if I did not have a book in my purse a book in my car, a book in the bathroom and book at my desk and heaven forbid I not have a book on my night stand!
Happy Reading this year!
Sarah
Hi I'm Vikki, I'm 23 and I love reading, always have. I am currently reading
and have been really enjoying it. I don't always have a lot of time to read but I decided this year I'm going to make more time to just sit down and read a good book.I don't have a particular genre to read as I love all sorts of books, like I love Charles Dickens to Stephen King, autobiographies and just loads of different books to be honest, if the blurb interests me I'll read it basically :)
Vikki
Hi yall! My name is Tessa and I just found this website today. It has already inspired me to read even more than I do now! I'm so excited to get going on the 2014 Reading Challenge! Anyway, I am 20, in the Navy, and got married about six months ago. I look forward to hearing from yall!
Hi VickiYou will love Catching Fire and all her other books. Have you seen the movies yet? They are really great too!
Enjoy!

Hello everyone!I'm Ayelén, new in the group. I'm 23 years old and I'm from Argentina.
I love to read all kind of books, my fav author is Nicholas Sparks, I love the way he writes and describes people and places, situations, and of course I love the love stories, even more if they can make me cry, and they do!
Well I hope to talk to all of you and share our opinion of different books.
Hi Sarah, I haven't watched Catching Fire the film but have watched the first one. I thought the first one was amazing but don't want to watch the 2nd one until I've finished reading the book haha
Hello everyone! My name's Wajeha, 24 years old and living in Dubai, U.A.E. I'm hoping to read a good mix of classics and new books in this years' 2014 Reading Challenge. Good luck to everyone and nice to meet you!

Hi Gaby, If you travel by train everyday to get to work, where do you live? I am sure that does make for excellent reading time! So far you are the first I have seen that likes to read classic children's books. Which ones are your favorite. My sister loves to collect children's books, I'm not sure she reads them, but hopefully she does. I have written several children's books and after my daughter does some illustrations (she is an artist) I am going to try and get them published. They won't be what you read, but you might enjoy them. Anyway, welcome to the group!Sarah
Hi all, I am living in UK and looking forward to a year in books. My favourite genres include historical fiction, ethics, pop science, and crime thrillers.Currently I am on my third book of the challenge, Ken Follet's World Without End.
Hi, everyone! My name is Leah. I am a new member here. Upon finishing my literature degrees from university, I realized I was no longer reading. It seemed I had become jaded with it and I wasn't reading enough any more. Now, I have made a conscious effort to read again, and I'm glad I did. There are so many great books, new and old, to enjoy and learn from. Nice to meet you all!

Gaby wrote: "Gaby wrote: "Hello all, my name is Gaby, I travel everyday on the train to go to woI like classics. Right now I am reading books that are about the times between 1900 and 1950. Could you suggest a German classic that covers that time period. It can be anything that reflects how people were thinking or struggling with. It can be fiction or nonfiction or one of both.
Hi all, I'm Barbara. Excited to join the group. Looking for great recommendations since I am all over the board when it comes to reading. Looking forward to challenges.
