Hi Everyone! We are so happy to have you all join our group. Please ask if you have any questions. I look forward to discussing books and all sorts of things with you. We have a lot of fun here.
Hi I am Aishwarya ... love to be a part of this group ... Hope will get to know lot of books and friends
Hi. I'm Kaitlin... I'm new to the group...obviously... I love reading and my goal is to read 125 books this year... Don't know what else to say. Off to read :p
Hello everyone, I'm Heather. I don't really know what a fair goal is. I never count how many books I read. I just read :) I'm going to say 40?
Hi all,I'm An, 32, from Belgium. I joined Goodreads just this week. I signed up to a number of reading challenges this year and intend to mark my progress here:

Hi I'm Tania. I'm 25 and from Western NY. My goal is to read 40 books this year. I almost made my same goal last year and that was with finishing up graduate school, so maybe that goal is a little generous right now. I'll see how it goes though.
Hi! I'm Janette and very excited to be part of this group, my goal this year is 100 books and I hope to include some classics in that total.
Hi I'm Jackie and I love to read mainly romance books. I'm fairly new to this website but I have found great suggestions and this is my first reading group.
Hello everyone. My name is Louis. I tend to read fiction, but try to read all genres. Live in California. Also enjoy my record collection (1,600+ albums so far). Looking forward to participating in this group.
Hi, I'm Sharon and I'm new to the group. I've set myself a challenge to read 25 books this year. 12 of those will be read through my local book group, I run a blog for them here http://builthwellsreadinggroup.blogsp... and the other 13 are my personal reads/wish list.I'll pretty much read anything but really enjoy Stephen King or a good horror. This month I'm reading 11.22.63 for myself (a Christmas present).
Hi, I'm Rebecca. I made my way through 50 books last year and am aiming for 75 in 2014! I love mysteries and romance novels, and am keen to see what you're all reading too.
Hi Everyone,My name is Maria, I live in Boston MA. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 25 years and have 2 boys, ages 21 and 19. I love to travel, dance and hang out with good friends. I enjoy reading, I'll read anything except sci-fi. They say reading is very good for your memory and since my mom suffers from Alzheimer, I have set a goal to read at least 100 books this year. This is my first book club I have joined, so still learning the roles of how this works.
Hi Maria, welcome! Good luck with your goal - 100 books is quite a lot! And I hope you enjoy your book club experience - and if you have any questions, just ask.
Hello! I am new and my name is Cathy. I am an avid reader of fiction/nonfiction books. I am forever on the search for that book that delivers me to another place and completely consumes me. I don't really have favorites right now as my tastes are forever changing it seems. Can't wait to meet all of you!
Hey, I'm Mylo.My Goal is 12.
I've got toddlers at home, and they don't like it when I read grown up books to them.
My likes are all over the map, from classics, to anything involving mystery, spies, or smooth talking lawyers. Occasionally I'll throw in some non-fiction to try and "learn" something.
Hi all :)My name is Allie, and I'm from Maryland. I'll turn 30 on 1/19, and have been married to my wonderful husband Ben for almost 10 years. I am the mother of two amazing kids, Jacob who is almost 5, and Makenna who is 3. I also go to school in the evenings, working towards my Masters Degree. Still always find time to read, though!! Looking forward to this new challenge for 2014!
Hi everyone! I'm Carey, 29. I love to read and write. I work at a grocery store but am working on being a writer. My 2014 goal is 50 books.
Hey! I'm Heather and I'm excited to be a part of it. I'm a teacher, and my students and I are all trying to read 40 books from August- May. I'm doing pretty good, although some of my kiddos are way ahead of me. :) I like to read just about everything, but my favorites are realistic fiction, romance, chick lit, and science fiction. (One of those doesn't quite fit I know!)
I'm excited to be a part of the group!
Hi, I'm Vicky, 17 year old student. I like pretty much any genre, although admittedly I'm not too keen on horror or crime. I did a reading challenge last year, but I was looking for somewhere to post mine this year, and I found this group, so I look forward to tracking my challenge here! :D
Hi! My name is Deirdre. I am a mom of 5 and I love to read! I'm excited to read with others in this group.
Hi, I am Margie. I read Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Romance and a very little romance. I would like to challenge myself to read 300 books.
Hello, all! It's awesome to see such a wide range in favorite genres--I'm sure it'll make for great discussion.
Greetings! I'm Z, and I have challenged myself to read more in 2014. I'm a busy working mom of 2, and I've unfortunately gotten away from reading regularly. I think that it's time that I put the focus back on me a little bit and get back to bettering myself by doing what I love--reading! My goals for the year are realistic. I'd like to read at least 25 books in 2014. I have a pretty heavy list of books that I've been holding on to for a while, so that's where I'm going to start. I'm looking forward to sharing my thoughts and journey here.
Hi, I am Maureen, 24 and a Biology student. I looooove to read, I can even be a bit angry with my boyfriend if he comes to my house as a surprise, and messes up my evening of me, a cup of tea and a book :$. My bookshelf consists mostly of Fantasy and Horror, with a little bit of Sci-fi.
I just hope I can finish this challenge, last year I read 39 books. Hopefully 50 this year.
It is so exciting to see all these new names here. Welcome to all of you! I hope to meet you in a challenge or a buddy read in the future.
Hi everyone! I'm Melissa, just starting out here. I'm currently in grad school and I don't have a lot of free time so I'm hoping this will encourage me to read more for pleasure. Lately I've been reading a lot of non-fiction, my favorite being Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand.
Hey!! I'm Stephanie and I'm in 8th grade. This is my first group!! This year I plan on reading at least 48 books (one book every week). Hopefully I read more, but I'm kind of a slow reader :p
Hey I am Taz, I have been on goodreads for a while (mainly for my son) but I saw the reading challenge on google + so here I am
Hi everyone! As you can see, I'm Emily and I enjoy reading and try to read as much as possible. Due to hours at school, I won't be extremely active but I will attempt to check in with the group every day. I hope I'll be a good addition to the group! I enjoy reading a variety of genres. I especially enjoy YA and historical fiction.
Hi .I love to read mostly fiction and love historical fiction .I just retired after having back surgery and have lots of hobbies .I have been married 44 years .I have been on Goodreads for a few years and last year I read 39 books and hope to get to 50 this year .I love to read other people's reviews .I don't like to waste time on books that don't grab me pretty quick .
Hello, everybody! My name is Caitlin i'm 24. I tried to finish the challenge last year, but unfortunately didn't get to finish. I hope to complete the challenge this year!
I actually run another book club on goodreads, but we only read one book per month and that's just not enough to help me reach my goal.
I read mostly fiction, fantasy, and sci-fi. Although, I tend to be open to reading anything if recommended.
I'm going to enjoy seeing what people have to say and what new books people will recommend. :)
Hi all, I'm Laura! I'm 22, from Lancaster and this is my very first time doing a reading challenge! I've always loved books but recently being incredibly busy at work has meant I've had to put reading on the back burner.
I'm hoping now to change that, and am going to try my hand at a challenge to make sure I continue my favourite hobby!
I enjoy mostly fiction, especially historical novels, but I have been known to partake in a good thriller or horror - I have a special Stephen King shelf on my bookshelf! I'm also quite a big chick-lit reader, but I'm generally open to everything!
I'll be setting my target at a modest 20 books since this is my first time, but I am hoping to read more.
Hello, long time reader first time poster. I have been reading since for ever but this year I am committing to read more after being dismayed that I only read 5 books last year, 3 of which were Fifty Shades! I hope this group will encourage me to do more and be more...
Hi all, I'm Allen and I've been a member since way back in '08 but have never been very active at Goodreads. Hope to change that in 2014 and thought joining the group would be a great way to start. I'm mid 40's and read mostly Sci-Fi but throw in a bit of everything. my goal this year is 25 books.. I also like to read short stories and magazines that are not included in that goal. currently reading A Clash of Kings (Game of Thrones #2). Good Luck to everyone in their reading goals this year!
I'm Jenn...I'm in my early 30s and reading is one of my main hobbies. I've been reading mostly non-fiction for several years, but in 2013 I made it a goal to get back into fiction. I tend to like classics, but I'm still looking for a genre in modern fiction that grabs me. I'm looking for a place where I can learn about good new books and hopefully find others with similar reading interests. I like the book pick for January!
My name is Chris and I am new to the group. I love to read pretty much any type of book and I am a sucker for a good book series.
Hello everyone! I'm Brianna and I'm 21. I love to read and I'm itching to get my to-read shelf narrowed down. It's currently at 2000+. I read almost all genes, not caring for erotica too much unless it has something else going on.
Also, I have started a blog joined some reading challenges and this group as well as a few others. Hopefully this motivates me even more to read
Hi everyoneMy name is Linda and I live in the beautiful Sunshine Coast, Qld Australia. I'm a secondary school teacher and love reading, permaculture and yoga. I would love to have time to read a whole lot more than I do. I will set a goal of 30 books which is quite ambitious, but what the heck! Aim high I say.
I love reading historical fiction amongst many other genres. I am a member of a Reading/Bookclub and we read about one book per month.
Love Goodreads for browsing and seeing what others like. Looking forward to the challenge.
Hi all! Father of 2 boys and just joined. Currently into non fiction history and biographies. Read the occasional fiction as well. Good to meet you all!
Welcome to all the new members. This group is a lot of fun. There is always something going on. I look forward seeing what you all read. Some of you accidentally got double welcome messages. Sorry about that! We just want to make sure we welcome all of you! Enjoy the group!
