Max smiled and took one of her hands to hold.
Gavin rolled his eyes as Victoria came over, "Not again Alex." she chuckled.
Alex shrugged and leaned into Max, "Gavy should never have let me take boxing lessons."

Gavin smiled and looked at Max, "Keep your woman in order Max." He leaned over and hugged Victoria round the waist.
"Will do." Max said to Gavin. He smiled at Alex.
Alex smiled back and rub her cheek against his shoulder lovingly.
Max gently kissed her forehead.

Alex lay in her back yard, reading a book for school. She had a test coming before summer holidays.
Max walked out and sat down next to her.
"Hey." she said keeping her eyes on the book.
Max looked at what she was reading.
She looked over at him, "Your distracting me." she whispered.
"Is that good or bad" max whispered back. He kissed her on the cheek.
"It's bad if I fail again." she replied and turned back to reading.
"Ok then." Max said. He walked inside, got one of his own books, and walked back outside.
Alex carried on reading, then getting her laptop and writing another essay.
Max sat down next to her and started to read his book.
After a while Alex looked over, "What are you reading?"
"A history book." Max replied.
"Which historic period?" she then questioned.
Alex nodded and started reading his book too.
"Max!" Gavin called, "A word."
"Max!" Gavin called, "A word."
Max got up and walked over to Gavin. "What's up?" He asked.
Gavin took a breath, "I have to ask you to do this... Alex is failing in school ever since you started dating. So... I need to ask you to break up with her." Gavin lowers his head, "I'm sorry, man. I wouldn't ask if I wasn't desperate."
"Really?" Max xsaid. He looked sadly over at Alex.
"I know you love her and she loves you. But if you truley love her then you'll do this. She has potential to mess her life up, and its coming true. She's getting in fights and her grades have dropped."
"All right then." Max said. "I'll do it tonight." He walked inside.
Gavin followed him, "You're still my best mate."
"Yeah." Max said. He sat down on the couch.

Alex was in her room, listening to her music and reading.

Max knocked on the door and walked in. "Alex I have to tell you something."
Alex looked up and took a headphone out, "Sure. What's up?"
Max looked away. "I uh... We... have to break up."
Alex's face dropped and her tears began to fall down her cheeks, "Why? It's it because you can't do anything with me because... because I can. Please!" she begged.
"No. Im sorry Alex, but i cant be your boyfriend anymore." Max said. He looked at Alex.

Alex pleaded, "Please... I love you..."
"We're done." Max said. He left and closed the door behind him and started to cry.
Alex stuffed her face in a pillow and let out a sob.
Max stayed outside her room with his back to the her door.
Alex cried for a long time, eventually falling asleep. Gavin walked past a saw Max, "Let's have a beer." he said and offers a hand.
"Nah. Im going to go to my appartment." Max said. He walked out of the house.
Gavin watched him walk out.
