He kissed her head and got off the couch.

Rise felt him get up and slowly woke.
Rise yelped softly, surprised.
He chuckled. "You fell asleep."
"I can see that." Rise said sleepily.
"Go to sleep," he muttered to her, kissing her head and going to her bedroom.
Rise did as he said and laid her head on his shoulder. Closing her eyes.
He laid her gently into her bed, tucking her in.
Rise sighed softly and fell asleep.
He smiled softly and pecked her forehead.
Rise hugged into her pillows.
"Night beautiful," he muttered to her before leaving the room.

Rise bit her lip as she looked at the calendar. A month and a half. According to the doctor she would die sometime next month.

Alex knocked on the door, biting his lip.
Rise jumped slightly and went to the door, opening it. "Hey." she said, seeing it was Alex.
"Hey," he smiled, hugging her close.
Rise hugged him back. "I thought you weren't coming today." she said looking up at him, her chin on his chest.
"I was, I come here every day," he chuckled.
"No, you said you weren't going to be able to. Remember?"
"I know, but I just... I wanted to stay with you," he smiled softly.
Rise smiled a little. "Okay." she said nodding a bit b
Rise sighed and let go. "So what do you want to do?"
"Let's go have a picnic in the park. I brought a basket with food with me!"
Rise smiled. "Okay." she said.
Alex smiled and took her hand. "Are you ready to go?"
Rise nodded. "Yeah." she answered him.
He smiled and took her to his car.
Rise slipped into his car, buckling up.
He smiled and got in as well. "I love picnics," he chuckled.
Rise smiled, amused. "I can tell."
He chuckled and started the car after buckling up.
Rise sighed and brushed some hair out of her face.
"You look beautiful," he told her, a smile on his face as he drove.
He smiled and psrked the car.
