"I can't do anything about it!" she exclaimed. "Its going to happen and there is nothing we can do."
"We can fight it!" He frowned. "You can' just.. give up."
"I would do something if I could...since you're here.." Rise said. "Promise me one thing." she asked in a quiet voice.
Rise buried her face in his chest. Crying quietly.
He hugged her tighter, crying a little as well, even though he was a guy.
Rise pulled back after a moment or so and wiped her face. She looked up at him. "Do you want to go inside?"
He did too. "yeah, please," he sighed.
Rise nodded and led him inside, closing the door behind him.
He followed behind, sniffling softly.
Rise went and sat on the couch. "Wanna watch something?" she asked him, trying to lighten the mood.
((Other one?))"Yeah, sure," he mumbled, his voice a little shaky.

Rise sighed. She got up and went to her movie shelf. Picking a kids movie, The Incredibles.

Rise showed him the movie. "How about this one?" she asked smiling a tiny bit.

Rise sighed and set the movie down. Putting her head against the cabinet.
He watched her carefully, biting his lip.
"Please say something." she said. Rise needed to know she hadn't put him into shock or something.
"I'm just worried," he said softly.
"About?" she prompted him softly. Gently beating her forehead against the cabinet.
Rise moved away from the cabinet and sat on her couch. "Not knowing what to say to him."
He moved over to her and wrapped his arms around her.

He smiled a little and slumped bakc on the couch.
Rise sat back on the couch and tucked her feet beneath her.
He pulled her onto his lap, chuckling.
"What are doing?" she asked giggling.
"Holding you," he grinned at her giggle.
Rise made a face. "You know I don't like that." she teased.
He chuckled. 'Watch the movie," he scowled playfully.
Rise rolled her eyes. "Fine." she said, cuddling up to him.
he hugged her close, chuckling.
Rise watched the movie quietly.
Rise had fallen asleep before the movie had ended.
He stroked her hair, smiling a little.
Rise stirred a little but stayed asleep.
