Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments Yay, berries! Home grown taste the best!

I learned not to walk through the technical school right at 3:30, on a Friday afternoon. I thought all the schools were out for the summer, but I was wrong...
I've never seen it so busy!

message 173: by Vanessa (new)

Vanessa (buckythecat) Richard wrote: "It's great to be supplied with the answer to a question I hadn't bothered to ask. Also, I can now tell my kids how far they have to run if they get chased by bees."

I have no idea why, but that literally made me laugh out loud at my desk. There goes the charade for today...

message 174: by Heidi (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments I just learned about kitty litter cake today. For the record, I could not get paid enough to eat it. I can't deal with the scooper.

kitty litter cake??

message 177: by RandomAnthony (new)

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments The kitty litter thing reminded me of the potty patch:

The potty patch may be the end of civilization.

Sarah | 13814 comments Re Kitty Litter Cake: eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew.

Just today, at a relatively painless workplace baby shower, someone was saying that there is also a game that's going around in which they melt chocolate bars in diapers and make you eat them.

No way. Not me. No how.

message 179: by Leslie (new)

Leslie | 777 comments ICK!

message 180: by RandomAnthony (new)

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments Again. Why. Do. You. Women. Torture. Each. Other. At. Showers. And. Parties.

(I've heard of the chocolate poop thing, by the way)

message 181: by RandomAnthony (new)

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments Oh, and i hope the sushi was good, Sarah...

message 182: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 13814 comments The sushi was excellent. I couldn't bring myself to order from the place in my dream, lest it turn prophetic, so I ordered from a better place.

This particular shower was the first (and hopefully last) I have ever helped plan, and it was kind of funny and low key since it was for a girl who got married last week, and a guy whose wife had a baby a month ago; these were unrelated incidents. They were both very surprised, needless to say, since both events had come and gone.
Someone decorated half the room for a baby shower and half for a bridal shower, and the cake was also split, with the result that it looked like it was for a shotgun wedding.

All in all, a success.

message 183: by Leslie (new)

Leslie | 777 comments That sounds cool. I've been to a few showers that I enjoyed--very few.

That's something I don't miss about my old life--everytime you turned around there was bridal shower to go to, then a wedding to go to, then about a year later, a baby shower to go to. And it seemed like everybody else thought all that stuff was so fun. UGH!!
I agree, Anthony--why???

We might go for sushi tonight--either that or Mexican with my niece.

message 184: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments i want some wasabi too

message 185: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 13814 comments There was a ton of wasabi left over, and they had sculpted it all pretty, and we were brainstorming over how to use it, since it seemed silly to waste it. Somebody suggested adding it to the cucumber salad another person had brought. It turned out to be really delicious.

message 186: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments my nose is running now thinking about it

message 187: by Lori (new)

Lori A DIRTY diaper? DIRTY kitty litter?

Way to turn my stomach. I'm no longer in the mood for my popcorn.

When we were little my friend's mom would make that - but she'd put these barfy oat bran O's in it.

message 196: by Wingedbeaver (new)

Wingedbeaver | 80 comments Today I learned that Liberace, when he was in his 50's, talked his boyfriend into getting plastic surgery so he looked exactly like Liberace when he was in his 20's... essentially Liberace fucked himself for the rest of his life. Does it get any more narcissistic then that?

Sally (mrsnolte) | 17373 comments Mod
Creepy.

Meen (meendee) | 1733 comments "I'll fuck you more" was probably a good one.
