B: Bianca Pitzorno - Ascolta il mio cuore and all her other books: not only for children. I recomend La bambinaia francese if you find it translated - and if you like Brontee's novels!!!!

The Great Gatsby,
This Side of Paradise,
The Last Tycoon (An Unfinished Novel) together with The Great Gatsby,
The Beautiful and the Damned Volume 1
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Have you read it Bette? And do you recommend it?
I love it when someone comes up with an author for these awkward letters!

You should have a look - if you can find them - to the films with Fernandel as Don Camillo and Gino Cervi as Peppone. they are of about the 1950s and really funnny!!! I think they were french

Oh thanks for the tip, yes I will look out for them . Don Camillo and Peppone have a love hate relationship....
Really typical of the Ity of the second after war period. We were a little like that, even if of course there are a lot of stereotypes there. I remember as kid another of his novels, Il destino si chiama Clotilde: Romanzo d'amore e di avventura, con una importante digressione - Duncan &Amp; Clothilda, and laughing while reading it

Nice alliteration :)

I loved those as a child - I am glad you are enjoying them. I don't know if they count as autobiographies or memoirs or what but they are nonfiction, which amazed me.
