Avery couldn't help but be surprised by the applause, lazily clapping along with them- a small smile on his face.
Finally as it came to an end Avery said he'd meet Viv and Jon outside, quickly escaping the crowded area.

Avery waited for them as he leaned against a tree, pulling his phone out in boredom, having no idea how long they'd be.

Avery held back a smile as he saw Chris, still having to remind himself it was over even after months. Besides the kid probably had a girlfriend and he was doing just fine.

After a while Avery finally got up, deciding not to delay the awkward moment. He'd just say hi and leave. He put a smile on, "Hey man, congrats on... Making it through college I guess." Avery said, giving him a half hug, or at least trying to with all the boxes in the way.

Avery noticed the obvious difference in his appearance, but kept all comments to himself. "I woulda got you something, but I didn't have time. Besides it looks like you have plenty," He said, eyeing the boxes.

"Know where your parents took off to?" Avery asked, kind of wishing Chris hadn't sent all the others away.
"What?" Avery asked with a sigh, "I'll have you know I still can't read your mind." He informed him.
"So how's life?" He asked, trying to fill in the awkward silence, sticking his hands in his pockets.

Avery followed Viv and Jon around as they talked to a bunch of random people, who's names he couldn't be bothered to remember. After a while though they finally decided to leave, heading to their place- after he picked up his things from the hotel.
Avery drove behind them in his truck. Once they arrived he headed towards the kitchen- grabbing a beer from the fridge.

As the game went to commercial Avery made his way into the kitchen, "Whatcha makin'?" He asked Viv, grabbing a second beer from the fridge.
He nodded taking a sip from his beet. "Need help with anything?" Avery asked, having nothing else to do.

"Kay," He mumbled under his breath. He took his beer, walking towards the living room, pausing by the stairs, before going up. Avery hesitated before knocking on Chris door softly- still thinking of his option to turn around and go back downstairs.

Avery opened the door slowly, making a small face of disgusts seeing Chris laying in a bunch of trash. "Uh..." He said, trailing off, for a second forgetting what he was about to say.

"Well A this is a mess, that you seriously need to clean up. And B we need to talk, it won't take that long," Avery said, grimacing as he removed a bunch of dirty clothes from a chair in the room, nudging the boy in the stomach with his foot.
