He explored the boys mouth with his tongue, pulling away only when he heard the sound of footsteps coming down the trail.

Avery looked over at him, raising an eyebrow. "They don't even know your gay, and you expect them to be happy when you tell them your dating someone more than half your own age?" He asked quietly, leaning into him slightly.

Avery sighed softly, following behind him, but leaving a little distance between them as they went uphill.
He slowly stayed behind, unsure of how he was feeling- slightly regretting what he'd said, but it was the truth.

Avery looked back at Viv and Jon as they caught up to his his eyes down on the trail as he walked.
Avery looked down at her, forcing a smile on his face. "Nothing Viv," he told her with a shake of his head.
"Nothing, its just about the divorce and everything," Avery told her, easily lying- hoping she wouldn't ask questions.

Avery walked over to him, noticing the inhaler. He sat next to him, acting completely normal as he rubbed his back. "You feelin' okay?" He whispered.

"Kay," Avery murmured, ripping his gaze away from the scene he grabbed his things taking the end as he slowly began to follow them back down
After making it the rest of the way down the hill Avery quickly got into his truck, starting it up and turning the heat on.
Avery's eyes flickered over towards him, his hand moving to grab Chris' but he quickly stopped himself. He pulled out of the place silently, following behind Viv and Jon.
He rolled his shoulders, turning on the music to break the intense silence. "Why are you mad at me?" Avery asked after a while, hating this whole cycle.
Avery looked over at him for a second, testing his luck by placing his hand on Chris' leg. "Then what's wrong?"

Avery looked at him, clearing his throat. He retracted his hand, not saying anything as he kept his eyes on the road.

Avery silently got out of the truck, locking it up and walking into the lodge, making sure to find a booth. He slid into one side with Jon before Viv had the chance.

Avery didn't look at Chris once, picking up the menu to see what they had as the waiter came around to ask what they'd like to drink.

He restrained himself from rolling his eyes, none too taken with her southern drawl. He sighed softly just wanting to go home.

"That's a nice name," Avery commented, before she left. He looked at Chris, pretending to smile. "She seems to be into you, maybe you should ask her out." He said with a carefree tone.
