Chapters 1-5:
(view spoiler)[ Jace is being confusing again, which I find really annoying. His character has just got on my nerves through the last 5 chapters. Though I did feel sorry for his after his nightmare thing. This is kind of like how I feel about Simon. I feel sorry for the guy too, but it's making me mad how he's treating Isabelle and Maia!

And I agree with you, this isn't anywhere near as good as the last few books. The only characters that I really am fine with are Luke and Jocelyn! (hide spoiler)]

Up to chapter 16 (view spoiler)[ I'm so bored of hearing about everyones relationship problems! Magnus has lived for thousands of years, Alec has no right to be jealous. Okay, yeah, Camille is still in love with him, so I'd be worried Then. But that's not Alec's problem. It's a lot mor fickle than that. Isabelle and Maia are being pathetic too. They're so mad about Simon, even though they both acknowledged that they weren't exclusive. So what, he's allowed to have other girls in theory, but not in practice? That's ridiculous. Clary has become weak now that she's with Jace. She used to stand up for herself. Now all she worries about is what he thinks of her. She. Is. So. Annoying. The Clary we know and love never would have let anyone put a random rune on her. No one with a brain would! I hope the next book goes back to focusing on action. Valentine's death turned this book into rubbish (hide spoiler)]

Finished! (view spoiler)[ This one wasn't even nearly as good as the other books in the series. I'm pretty disappointed. But I am happy with the ending, surprisingly. I liked Lilith, the Greater demon, being around. She was so fabulously evil. I liked that Isabelle went looking for Simon. What I didn't like was Jace's reaction to everything. When Ginny Weasley was possessed, she got angry about it. Jace sulked. He wanted Clary to go off without him, he wanted everyone to hate him, and he would much rather sulk than try to fix everything. How are so many people in love with him? I can't stand him! However, it was still written brilliantly. Plus that thing with Sebastian at the end was enough to keep my intrigued for the next book! (view spoiler)[ OK, the relationship drama is really irritating! Simon! You should have chosen one before they found out, a$$h*le! Though I am glad they found out. And Jace and Clary .. I just! OH MY GOD JACE! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU!!!

And Kyle! His name is Jordan?! That's the one who turned Maia into a werewolf right? (hide spoiler)]

Finished Chapter 13:
(view spoiler)[ The book is getting ... better ... But I feel like all the characters that I loved in the last three books have just annoyed and irritated me.

I recently read the Infernal Devices (which I LOVED) and when Magnus spoke about the violin music and the boy with black hair and the girl I just felt so sorry for him! He's watch so many of his friends die, I just felt like crying (is that bad?) And your right, Victoria, Alec has no right to feel jealous. Did he expect Magnus to live all of eternity alone, waiting for him and then mourn forever after Alec died? I'm probably over doing this but that really annoyed me, sorry. (hide spoiler)]

@Victoria, I didn't like him very much but I liked him in the other books alot more than this one. I liked Clary in the other books too, but she's shown as really weak in Fallen Angels. What about you?

I didn't like him much either. He's just too perfect, it's annoying! And Clary has become a lot weaker, it's making me really mad. I was just wondering how much your opinion had changed in this book, because loads of people seem to be madly in love with him. I just can't understand why!

These books are very good but I'm having a hard time staying awake when I read them. Both of the first two books in this series. I'm hoping I'll be able to be more engaged with the other books. End of Chapter 8 (view spoiler)[ First of all the Faerie world seems really cool but really creepy at the same time. I'm going to be so irritated with this series if it keeps Jace and Clary as brother and sister-ick. Also the more I read the more I like Isabelle.
