Sorry, but Jace really is a jerk sometimes. I hated the way he acted after Simon caught him and Clary kissing. The ironic thing is that when Jace doesn't get his way, he turns all brooding and sulky, yet he's constantly treating Simon like he's a fragile moron. Perhaps JACE is the one who needs a pat on the head and to be told he's someone "special little guy". And Clary is so dense. How could she be so utterly clueless about Simon?

CITY OF ASHES (Book 2)

Chapter 9 - (view spoiler)[The fact that Jace could even be willing to run away with Clary and be with her, with the thought in the back of his mind that she's his sister, creeps out me and, quite frankly, makes me question Jace's character and sanity.

Maybe Clary would jump for joy at being with you, Jace, if she didn't think you were her flesh and blood! For goodness' sake, the guy's more astonished at the thought of Clary not wanting him than he is at the fact that he's suggesting *possible* INCEST! *sigh* (hide spoiler)]
