I laugh each time at Simon getting turned into a rat. I know I should not laugh but I do. He was warned not to drink the blue drink but he did and look what happened.

Part 1 of Lost Souls (view spoiler)[ Clary, are you a complete and utter moron? I get it, she loves Jace. But he's gone evil now. And he's possibly in another dimension. How the heck does she expect to be able to come home? Isabelle, on the other hand, I'm loving. Vulnerable Isabelle is too cute for words. I love her as a bad ass, but it's also sweet seeing her vulnerable side. Unfortunately for her and Simon, they can never take my spot for number 1 couple. Magnus and Alec are PERFECT. Seriously, everything they do makes me swoon. Well, apart from Alec sneaking off behind his back because he's jealous of Magnus' immortality. That one is a bit wrong... (hide spoiler)]

Up to chapter 12 of Lost Souls (view spoiler)[ I was never a big fan of Jace, but this is a whole new level of hatred. Okay, so it isn't his fault, he's been linked to Sebastian or whatever. But I can't help blaming it on him! Both of them are actually kind of terrifying. Why did Sebastian have that photo of Clary in his room? Why are there so many clothes all perfectly in her size? I think she's focusing on all the wrong things. I think Clary has fallen right into Sebastian's plan, and I don't like it one bit (hide spoiler)]

But much more importantly, JACE. He's back!! Temporarily, but at least that means there's hope. There's actually a Jace to save, which is fantastic. Honestly, I think this book is dragging a bit... But I think summoning Lilith will cause just a tiny bit of chaos (hide spoiler)]

Last book was great, but a little confusing at times. I hope you've read the Infernal Devices series, because there is a major spoiler in Heavenly Fire. And I LOVED the TID series much more than TMI.

She can't fight off Jace and Sebastian and she wouldn't risk losing Jace either way..... Poor Isabelle with her parents as well. The divorce is really weighing on her. I hope she gets with Simon soon and lets go of her fear around relationships. Isn't it a bit of a plot hole that none of them checked on Clary before they left for the Iron Sisters? I like Jordan and Maia but I don't consider them central characters like the other seven are so I'm not sure why they are getting so much focus on them? Also Sebastian is creepy as hell but he isn't a 'villain' for me. Valentine was scary, intense and evil and while Sebastian definitely isn't a 'good guy' he's not strong enough to be the primary antagonist for me. I'm enjoying the Alec/Magnus/Isabelle/Simon scenes the most. (hide spoiler)]

I'm still working through this one as well. Going to try and finish the audiobook before Christmas but its quite slow. (view spoiler)[ I completely agree about the Jordan and Maia scenes, they are completely unnecessary. There is too much going on but each segment still seems to drag. I like the combination of Isabelle, Simon, Alec and Magnus but they haven't really been doing anything interesting. Hopefully it picks up soon. Clary is making terrible decisions as usual.
